Paz has been really busy at the NYC Family Justice Center in Brooklyn. He is currently assisting a young woman who was the victim of an awful kidnapping. The victim has been emotionally and physically unable to cooperate with the prosecutors who needed her to review about 150 crime scene photos so as to provide sufficient detail as they move forward with the trial. The prosecutors requested that Paz be present with the victim to see if his magical support might help her cope with reviewing the photos. What made the crime more horrific was that the woman's 2 year old child had been kidnapped with the her, and they both suffered horrific injuries; the victim was so traumatized that whenever she was asked to review the crime scene photos, she would get physically ill and couldn't provide any detail. Well somehow, Paz worked his magic and provided the support that can only be achieved through the unique healing power of human / animal bond. He immediately understood the victim was experiencing distress, and he lay down at her feet (or on her feet), and whenever she started to cry, shake or began to get physically ill, he would get up, put his head on lap and literally lick the tears away from her face. The crime scene photo review took over 2 hours, and by the time it was done, the prosecutors had all the details they required to move forward with the trial. The victim said that Paz's presence and gentle nudging made it possible for her to get through the photos and she literally hugged him throughout the questioning. Arrangements are being made for Paz to wait in a room adjacent to the courtroom, so he can help her through the trial. I am so proud of him!
Paz is also attending one of our children's programs on Monday evenings; all the children in the program have been witnesses or victims of domestic violence and/or violent crime. The kids love Paz and I'm attaching a photo of a hat the kids made for him which he wore last week. He has the patience of a saint!

Paz is just wonderful! Your ears may have been burning, as I have been doing classroom presentations on pet therapy and always talk about the work you and Paz do with victims/witnesses of violent crime. This is a striking example of the power of Paz and I hope you don't mind if I use it in my presentation tomorrow. Hugs to you both.
Of course you can use him as an example. Gavin sounds like he is also working his wonderful magic! Hugs back to you and hope you are having a good holiday season!
I tried to upload a picture but for some reason, it doesn't seem to be working. I'll try later.
Awesome work Paz!!!!
Cathy, thank you so very much for your lovely complement. I think our doodles have a "doodle" magic touch that has an amazing healing power. We are blessed to have such wonderful creatures in our lives, who are truly family members with four legs!
Just seeing this, Charlotte. Paz has such an amazing heart and intuitive skills! The two of you have been our inspiration --a Hero lives in Brooklyn. Keep spreading your magic. Big hugs, Paz!
Thank you so much. The kidnapping trial is starting on Monday, so Paz will spend time with the victim when she is being prepared to testify.
I was trying to follow in your footsteps with getting a program like this started here when Sophie got sick. If I ever get AnnaBelle ready we hope to be able to pick up where we left off. You guys do amazing work. You should be very proud. I'm guessing that was an exhausting 2 hours.
Thank you for the complement. It's going to be a tough road for the victim. The trial starts next week, so Paz will be spending lots of time with her. I think the victim will feel better when the man who did this is convicted.
I loved this reminder of the amazing work that you and Paz are doing, Charlotte!
