Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
So we were pretty certain we wanted a mini UNTIL our breeder let us know that one of her current puppies is available after a family changed their mind. Of course I fell head over heels with his cuteness as soon as I saw his photos! He's an F1B standard goldendoodle expected to be 40-45lbs, so now we need to decide if we want to stay on our original waiting list for the F1B mini (expected to be 20-25lbs) or if we should welcome this little cutie into the family. He already has the cuteness factor going for him for sure! We are a little concerned with sizing since we have two small kids. I'd love to see how big your doodles are and how much they ended up weighing to sort of get a better idea of what we can expect and to hopefully help us a bit with our HUGE decision :)

cool pic! : )
And......we have a puppy joining our family in a few weeks :) We actually got the chance to speak with our breader. It turned out there was still another puppy needing a furever home, she's a lot smaller then her siblings and is expected to be around 30-35 pounds. Her parents are on the smaller side too, mom is a small F1 goldendoodle around 30lbs and dad is a medium standard poodle around 45lbs so we're pretty confident that she won't grow too large which is why we made the decision to welcome her into our family :) She's about 5 weeks old and should be ready to come home the first week of May.
She is super cute! I like to blond highlights. I am so excited for you.
Thank you!! I am sooooo excited and just can't wait for her to come home! We decided to name her Zena :)
Congrats, she's adorable!
Congratulations on your choice. Darling puppy.
What a beautiful picture!
Very sweet !!
LOVE!
Georgia is almost 50lbs.
I originally wanted a smaller dog also, but mostly because I worried about my ability to lift her in 10-15 years. Now I think it might have been a better idea because bigger dogs eat more and poop more.
I love my Georgia so I don't really care anymore. I know when I was in the process of getting her, then after I got her I stressed so much about all these decisions, and when I look back on it I wish I would have just taken it in stride and enjoyed the ride instead of worrying if I was doing it right and making the right decision. Easier said than done.
I don't think size really matters much. I think the bigger dogs seem to take it in stride a little more than small dogs, but that is projection on my part. The personality of the dog and the training of the dog with kids is way more important than the size.
