Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hopefully, someone can help me. I've been trying (unsuccessfully) for some time to change my profile picture but have been unable to.  I've gone through past discussions and tried everything suggested, but nothing works.  The picture I'd like to use is saved to my computer as JPG and I have no problem viewing it - I just get an error message whenI try to upload it.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

If you make crazy noises sometimes you get the best facial expressions!

I have been having the same problem! I have tried for a couple of weeks to change my photo to include my three. I don't even get an error message. It just goes back to the page where you choose a photo.

This is the picture I am trying to use so it can be loaded, just not as my profile pic??

Such a beautiful photo!!  I'm so jealous.  How did you get them to pose?  I can't imagine my three behaving so well!

Treats!!! They know that they will get paid well if I get what I want. I shouldn't make it sound so easy. Its really not! It takes a lot of practice. For every good photo I have 100 that are awful. Mine have learned what happens when they see the camera and the bag of treats. Pippa (on the right) is the toughest because she is the youngest and doesn't have a long attention span. Lucy (the one one the left and the oldest) wants to get in on it even if I don't want her to. She will sit long after the other two have run off so she can get the pay off. Lol!

Yes!  I had my DD standing behind me holding the treat bag over my head.  Emma, the cream goldendoodle, is 7 and has been with us for 5 1/2 yrs.   Bender, the black labradoodle, is 6 and has been with us for 4 1/2 yrs.  Busby, the chocolate labradoodle, (our foster failure) is five and has only been with us since November, 2013.  He's totally hyper, although he has calmed down quite a bit in the last six months.  While Bender and Emma will sit nicely for a picture, Busby tries, but just can't seem to stop wriggling!  He is the greatest sunggler, though and we love him to pieces.  One day they'll ALL be able to pose and I can't wait to have a photo like yours.

You do have three beautiful Doodles! You should join the photography group. There is lots of help and advice to be had there. The best thing I ever did for those posed shots is to get a tripod and a camera with a remote trigger. It leaves your hands free of the camera so you can hold treats or squeaky toys...whatever works.

Lori, when I've had issues uploading photos I've had success adding them using the DK email address. Just send it to that address and it loads right into your photo albums. I had trouble changing my profile pic awhile back and I finally gave up and just edited the one I had to crop out the Santa hat. :>)

What address? You mean Adina's address where we send calendar photos?

No, you know you have a DK email address assigned to you by the site. Go to the bottom of the page with your profile info, the same page that you use to change your profile pic. Scroll to the bottom and you'll see an email address for you.

Awesome trick! Thanks for the info!

I just changed my profile pic with no problem. The photo size was 740 kbs. You do have to remember to go right to the bottom of the page and click save. It worked this time but I tried many times in the past that it didn't.
