We have a funeral to go to Thursday. We have only left Toby in his daytime crate for a maximum of three hours up to this point. With the visitation, funeral, and after "stuff" we'll be gone 4 hours or so tomorrow. Toby is just over 5 months old. Is that too long to leave him crated? We would be leaving around 11:30, so he could go on a couple of walks in the morning, and play in the yard before we go. I know I need to get over the feeling that this is "mean", but it's hard!

the "rule" is that they should be able to hold it 1 hr for every month old they are. Toby should be fine for 4-5 hrs. Especially since he's used to 3 (I don't think they understand time).
Toby does very well at night - always has. I guess I just feel sorry for him, which is ridiculous, but none-the-less, I do. :)
Sandy,
That is Mom watching the clock - not Toby. I understand the guilt factor. He will be fine!!
You may need a nice glass of wine.
He'll be fine. He'll probably just sleep. Although I always like to use Halas as my excuse to go home when I'm out.
That's so true. I have definitely used Toby as an excuse to go home! And no matter how naughty he may have been before I left the house, I can't wait to see him. :)
Sometimes the naughtier they are the cuter they are--can't wait to see the "naughty" slide show tomorrow! :o)
