Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
My Mother-in-Law sent this to me. I changed the words from "dog" to "Doodle" because they are not "just dogs", they are an adventure!
Subject: DOODLES ARE EASIER TO CARE FOR THAN KIDS
45 minutes to get a Doodle ready to go outside in the winter? -- NOT!
Doodles cannot lie.
Doodles NEVER resist nap time.
You don't need to get extra phone lines for your Doodle
Doodles don't pester you about getting a kid
Doodles don't care if the peas have been touched by the potatoes (my personal favorite reason)
Average cost of sending a Doodle to school: $42...
Average cost of sending a kid: $103,000...
Doodles are housebroken by the time they are 12 weeks old.
Your Doodle isn't embarrassed if you sing in public!

You mean someday my kids might LET me close the bathroom door?
Yes Adina, and there will actually come a time when they will close the door when they are in the bathroom for their own privacy!!
Love this! Doodles are easier than grandchildren too - even if you aren't the one doing the 45 minute get-ready time.
Doodles don't roll their eyes at you when you tell them to do something either!
Oh so true!
Doodles still like to cuddle and give kisses no matter how old they get. In fact the older the better!
Very True Lori
Truer words were never spoken......or written!! Love it!
How true! And they hang on your every word!
They don't necessarily learn much bad behavior from you.
You don't have to feed them every 2 hours for the first few months of their lives.
They let you sleep through the night within a week or so of coming home compared to 11-14 months with my kids.
You can just put them in a crate or behind a gate when they're being annoying without any fear of 'damaging' them ;-)
Don't need a baby sitter to go out for a date night.
They don't whine for every request...um...they have hardly any requests to begin with!
You don't have to bathe them almost every day.
You don't have to spend an hour with a bedtime routine.
No begging for toys they don't have.
They are happy to lay by my feet while I work for eons without a peep (save for the barking out the window).
You can take them in public naked.
No diapers required.
No outgrowing clothes.
You don't have to worry about the baggage you leave them with when they go out on their own because they wll always live with you and depend on you so they don't need to learn as many life skills.
You can neuter/spay them ;-)
HA! Chuckle chuckle...LOL funny...especially the last two.
