Hey all!

I remember seeing that a couple people on here used "the Stuff" so I went a head and ordered some on Amazon and saw people were using it differently. Some were spraying it directly on their dogs post bath and others were diluting it in water and then for lack of a better word "dumping" it on their dogs post bath before toweling. Which way do you guys use it? It comes in a spray bottle so I guess I just assumed that's how you should use it but several people were following the "groomers tip" posted on Amazon and diluting and rinsing (that sounds much better than dumping) their dogs in it.

I also ordered some cowboy magic shampoo and the shine and detangler conditioner- any hints for that? Or any tips, the reviews seem to say that a little goes a long way.

Thanks all!

I have used cowboy magic. Love it. I gave some to my groomer and she loves it too. U use it just as directions say. Rub a nickel size dollop on mat and let it do its magic. My groomer said she has put some on her brush and run it through some dogs. It's so slimy feeling you don't want to overuse it. If the mat looks greasy after you have brushed it out not to worry. It goes away.
That's the shine and detangler? So do you use it on dry or wet hair, it seemed that some people were using it as a conditioner and rinsing it out and others were "spot treating" mat. I'm also getting my information from Amazon reviews so I know this isn't the most informative source of information. I also bought the shampoo which seemed to have good reviews too. I was using some other pet brand (maybe the Burts Bees?) and they were matting so badly so I briefly switched to the shampoo bar at Lush for sensitive skin (I use a different bar for myself) until I could find another dog shampoo. It actually works well with them but since it's not for dogs I don't want to be using it long term. All that to say I'm very excited to get all of these :)
Cowboy magic concentrated shine and detangler I have only used on dry mats . Luckily butch doesn't mat much . I had never heard of the stuff. One more thing to get for our beauty bag!

There are 3 Cowboy Magic products - shampoo, 'conditioner', and a detangler 'ointment' for specific mats.

We have used the "stuff" on our doods ever since their baths started. I towel dry them, then spray it on and kind of massage in. It helps with brushing out and also helps to repel dirt. Just hold over a towel or do it in the tub, it is very slippery on the floor.

Highly recommend!
Oh cool! I read in another post somone recommended it but I had no clue it repelled dirt but that's awesome. Usually we have to do the whole bath routine after every dog park trip because they just retain so much dirt but this sounds like it may help out!

The Stuff, Horse Mane 'N Tail Detangler, and Cowboy Magic  have silicone so are VERY slippery.  If I am going to spray my guys all over (I do this for the beach), I take them outdoors to spray.  I have fallen on my butt on our tile floor and our rugs.  It is really, really slick.

Good to know! I'm a cultz too so that would end badly for me I'm sure!
Saves me from falling so thank you!

I've never used The Stuff, but I always like trying different products. Might have to add it to my lineup!

You might also want to try Chris Christensen's Ice on Ice. I spray a little on after towel drying- it's a conditioner, dirt repellent and sunscreen. Love it! It leaves Winnie super soft without any tacky residue.

Oh cool! That will be on the next amazon order :)

I use The Stuff quite frequently now and love it! I use the spray function and kind of massage it in as I spritz her coat with it (does that makes sense?). I almost use my hand to "catch" the extra spray as I squirt it directly on her coat and massage it into the hair as I go. I do this on her coat when it is either wet or dry and I love how soft it makes her coat! Saw on your other discussion that you ordered the Activet- you will not be disappointed!!!
