Orvis Deep Dish Dog Bed

Hi everyone!  I was thinking of ordering Cooper a dog bed from Orvis.com.  It's the "Deep Dish Dog Bed" with memory foam.  I was wondering if any of your doodle has this bed and if he/she likes it.  It has very good reviews.  I bought Cooper a rectangular bed from PetSmart.  He doesn't sleep on it but uses it as a pillow while he is laying on the wood floor.  I thought if I get him the deep dish bed, he can use the side as a pillow.  Thanks in advance for any input!

Thanks Karen! :)  I'm glad I asked about it here and decided on ordering it.  He usually sleeps on his side with his legs sticking straight out on the tile/wood floor, so we'll see how he does it on this bed.  I am looking at him now and he seems VERY comfortable and a little less curled up like the picture :)  I'm so happy he officially has a bed!!! lol   

Ohh, so I don't feel so weird covering it all up then lol.  I might just keep it that way for this warm week :)

Jack sheds so heavily, and he has seasonal allergies, so his bedding needs to be washed very frequently. It's so much easier to just throw the sheet or blanket into the wash than to have to unzip the bed cover and put it back on, plus weekly washing would I'm sure wear it out pretty quickly.

Oh I see.  Very true about wearing it out quicker on the frequent wash.  Plus knowing my luck, I might shrink the covers overtime and then it won't fit nicely anymore! LOL.  Good tip!

Thanks Janie! I'm very happy with the bed and it has only been 2 hours since I got it.  LOL.  Hopefully he'll be back to his normal self after this restful nap.  :)

Oh my goodness. How cute! Is that just a snoopy sheet tucked around the bed? Did Cooper like beds before you got him this one?

Yes, that's a snoopy bed sheet :) It was my husband's bedsheet when he was a little boy. Never in a million years did he think it would be passed down to his dog. Lol. Cooper never really slept on the rectangular bed I bought him from Petsmart this past Christmas. He ended up using it as a pillow. So he had one BIG pillow and he would sleep on the wood floor. Every now and then I'll catch him on the bed but he doesn't stay there too long. I'll see what he does tonight with the new bed. He had a good nap on it this afternoon so that's a good start!

Cute. Yeah, let me know if the novelty wears off. Graci does not sleep on the rectangular beds too often, but I kind of want her off of my bed so that I can stretch my legs! Lol

lol that's too funny. I don't think Cooper would enjoy sleeping on our bed. I have all these warm blankets and it'll make him too hot. Ok soooo...Cooper slept on the wood floor beside his bed when he put him in his playpen last night. In the middle of the night, I checked the camera and he was on his bed! This morning when I came downstairs, I found him sleeping on his bed! I'll attached a picture :). Earlier this morning, he napped on the tile floor. Right now, he is on his bed! I have to say he is using it a lot more than his rectangular bed for sure. He hardly ever nap on his rectangular bed. I think he likes it!!! Hopefully yours will too if/when you decide to get one :)

Jack moves between his bed and the carpeted floor during the night, too. I think it's normal for them to change locations, lol.
