Hi everyone! I just discovered this site and in awe. There is so much support and resources for a new doodle owner like me. I have a 10 week old F1 standard goldendoodle. His name is 7 just because he is the seventh in litter.
We had our first check up with the vet, 3 days after i got him, they took a stool sample and guess what? He has roundworms. No worries as they said it was very common in puppies. He might have gotten it from the breeder. Is this true?

Anyway, we are on the 2nd day of treatment (3 days treatment). I have not seen any dead worms in his poop so far.

Yes, it does happen. Annabelle had them at 5 months. Whether she came home with them, I don't know, that is just when I noticed them. It was pretty gross. Welcome to DK. It sounds like you may have already checked out the groups, but if you haven't, there is a lot of support there to. The food group and puppy madness are 2 that I recommend now to get you started.

It's very common for doodle puppies to come home from the breeder with worms and/or giardia.

It happens and that is why it is so important for new puppy owners to take their puppies to the vet for a wellness exam/  Your puppy is certainly a cutie!  When you get a chance, check out the groups section on the main page and join as many as you like.  Many new puppy owners join the Puppy Madness group, Grooming group, Food group, etc.  There are over 300 groups so certainly something for everyone and then some.
