Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
This is for photos you are thinking of submitting for the Calendar and that you would like to show us. If you want more detailed critiques and/or editing help I have started another discussion for that. I know there will be overlap and possibly a mish mash but we can handle that. Don't forget to check the guidelines.

I'm stating early because the calendar submissions need to be in by 9/22. seems like the submission period gets shorter every year.
Remember that vertical shots only go on the multiple doodles per page calendar. If you want a chance at a full page you need horizontal shots.Tags:

I think this is an adorable picture, F.
Thanks Nancy.
Hi Linda, All of your dogs look like they had a great and tiring day at the beach :) Adina usually wants the dogs to be looking at the camera. I know that is so hard to get with THREE dogs. The worst that can happen is you submit it and it doesn't get chosen, but your dogs are beautiful and you did a great job of not getting a bunch of blown out spots. Maybe put it in the editing discussion and see what they come up with. Good luck!
thank you! Very difficult getting them to look at the camera even when it is just one!
Doodles are like potato chips...you can't have just one! You look like you have your hands full with three incredibly beautiful doodles! Laurie gave you some good recommendations. What helps me is looking at the pictures from calendar winners over the years. Gives me "some" insight into "what would Adina do" ... Good luck...and mostly have fun. P.S. every 2 weeks we run a different theme on our slideshow, main page...check it out! You will then get to "show off" your beautiful babies ALL year round! Join in the fun. (Once again folks...nope, no shame...none)
What a fun picture, Linda. The doodles' expressions are so joyful.
Actually, her face doesn't look in focus to me. It looks like the focus is on her neck.
When I look at the data in the file it was shot a 1/85 of a second. That is too slow for a dog moving around in water. I don't see much motion blur, which surprises me but it may make the image a tad soft. I would increase your ISO, and increase your shutter speed. And make sure your focus point is on the eye.
Other than that this is a really great shot. Love the lighting and the background. The shadows don't bother me at all. Pippa is just gorgeous-perfect model! And I love seeing a "non-traditional" doodle in the mix.
