Cooper crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully the other night, Wednesday Dec. 21, 2016 at 8:30pm at home in his own comfy bed surrounded by his family: Doodle Daddy, Mommy and brother Marc who's 18 years old. Cooper lived for 7 1/2 years and 13 days in human years and 52 dog years!  Yes, a full happy doodle life!!  He was loved by so many people and dogs and has done so much good in such a short time.  We went on vacations with Cooper to San Francisco, Sonoma, San Diego, LA, Maine, Boston, Connecticut, PA, MD, VA and West VA. He even went on a mini cruise in Delaware. He was a real trooper! I'm lost without him on my side. He was my shadow. He was with me everywhere I went. One thing we know for sure is that Cooper will live on in our hearts forever.

Thank you all so very much for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers this last few days. We're very grateful for all the kind words, words of wisdom, and most of all being a part of this wonderful doodle community.  We're grieving the loss of our sweet boy but we're happy that we have found new friends in all of you. It's very comforting to know that this family of doodle parents and siblings understands and empathizes with what we're going through. Still, there's no denying our hearts are shattered into pieces and it hurts so much! Our home feels empty.

So very sorry for your loss.  My wish is that one day, you sweet memories can make you smile rather than cry and that at some point may another doodle find its way into your heart.  I'm guessing Cooper will guide one your way.  Hugs to you and your family.

My heart goes out to you. You gave Cooper a wonderful life. In time, may you find joy in the great times you had together. Hugs to you!
Run free, fur baby. Cooper has joined Paz, ABby, Misty, Bella, and others in the Celestial Doodle Romp. NY and Jeter.

I am so sorry to learn that Cooper crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  I am sure he will stay in your hearts forever along with all the great memories you have! Losing a family member so close to Christmas is so hard...many hugs to you all!!

I am so saddened by your loss.

Just saw this discussion - and I am so sorry to hear you lost your sweet handsome boy.  I can tell from your writing he was your heart dog.  When you feel up to it, join the Rainbow Bridge group and tell us all about Cooper - it really can be therapeutic when the time is right.  Best wishes at such a difficult time.

So sad. We are never ready for them to leave us. Time will heal but you will never forget him.

So sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I am so sorry. I like to think that our dogs' spirits are watching over us and give us little signs that they are doing so.  We lost our Springer Spaniel summer before last.  Last summer we 'fell' into a doodle with our Springer's coloring - a little reminder.  A few days ago that doodle snuck a bird upstairs into our bedroom.  The only dog we ever had who gifted us with slobbered-over, dead birds was our Springer.  Another little sign and Christmas gift.   Look for the signs and take comfort in them.  We do.

So sorry for the news about Cooper.  He was a wonderful companion for his short life (in human years).  His memory will always be with you and try to remember the good times.  Peace and love this holiday season.

RIP sweet Cooper. You had a rich life surounded by caring people.

Hugs to you and your family Paulette. It sounds like Cooper had an amazing life, what a wonderful companion.

Sweet Cooper, run free and play in the beautiful meadows of heaven.
