Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Can anyone recommend a labradoodle rescue in the Denver, CO area?
I adopted this sweet boy 2 months ago and he is one year old this week. He came to me without any history, but he is as sweet as can be, eager to please, and house trained. He is big (70 lbs last time I checked). He is neutered, vaccinated, gets along well with other other dogs. He enjoys the dog park and doggie daycare. He is very sweet with my small children (3 and 5) and patient with hugs, etc. but he does knock them over sometimes with his puppy energy.
The challenge is that he has some separation anxiety and I'm really not in situation where I'm able to do the kind of intensive work with him that he needs.
Any recommendations for organizations or private rescuers who might be able to find him a more appropriate home are appreciated.
ETA: Please be kind. I'm a single parent, living in an apartment, working, and going to graduate school. Yes, I should have done more research before getting a labradoodle, especially a puppy, but this is where we are now and I'm trying to do the best I can for my sweet boy, which is why I'm not taking him back to the shelter, which would not keep him from ending up in this situation again.

Please, please suggest to this person to contact the DRC for help. They will help her do what is right for this dog.
I second Laurie's advice. DRC has a great group of volunteers in the Denver area who will be happy to help this doodle find a carefully screened, experienced and loving forever home.
Please pass these links on to Nicole:

Yes, DRC!!! This pup will have a great home in no time!!
Yes I have already made that suggestion. For some reason, I did not have the correct link at the time so I'm hoping she finds it. I will post the above links. She has not responded to the MANY comments, I guessing she overwhelmed with the different suggestions being given. I will follow and hopefully she will do what is best for the dog.
What a shame she put it on FB to begin with. I'm sure she's getting deluged with people clamoring to take the dog. :(
Forward: The DRC has an excellent person in Colorado. Please contact them to re-home your pup. There is no blame or finger pointing from me. Sometimes things aren't as easy as it seems they should be when your first make a plan. Thank you so much for getting him out of the shelter and for caring enough to get him to a rescue.
Could we try messaging her or friending her?
