Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I had an interesting "conversation" on the Facebook Group - I love my Goldendoodle.  Apparently they took offense to my questioning a potential BYB about health testing, breeding rights, etc..

I only asked the obvious questions.  I had to question why someone would breed a multi gen labradoodle with a F1 goldendoodle - wanting hunting dogs.

I also asked if the group condoned irresponsible breeders - the response from the administrator was something like - we don't discuss this.

OK - so I quit the group and someone else got banned for agreeing with me.

Sorry just had to rant.

This just makes me sick.  I just don't understand how anyone can think that a living, breathing puppy is disposable.  It reminds me of a pet store they used to have in a nearby mall years ago.  All these puppies and kittens (plus other species) for sale.  I couldn't even walk on that side of the mall because it seemed so terribly sad for those poor animals. They were so pitiful.

I think I'll stay away from the FB doodle pages......

Just today, in the Facebook community group for my town, someone asked where she could buy a Shih Tzu- Maltese puppy. (!!!) One person directed her to a pet store in a nearby community, and another person directed her to an internet broker. One timid soul went so far as to point out that the name given was a puppy broker, but so as not to seem "judgey",  cushioned her comment with "not saying good or bad, but..."

It's not just the doodle groups, it's pretty much all of the Facebook groups, lol. Dumb and dumber.

Wow.  No words.  And "AGAINST THE LAW"????

Yep, that's what she said. To me, and then in a post on another FB doodle group. I have it in writing, lol.

Wow, that's incredible!

Anyone who thinks that a rescue group might have "puppies for sale" and might pay her $1900 for the privilege of rehoming her puppy obviously doesn't have a clue about anything. Who even knows what the breeder actually said to her.

However, the breeder does still have unsold puppies available from that litter, so I'm not the least bit surprised she wouldn't take her back.
