Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
5 males, 4 females, all chocolate colored with some white markings.
Both parents are Multi-gen Australian Labradoodles.
I'm #6 pick, so don't know yet what we'll get. Gender doesn't really matter & we were hoping for chocolate - mom is chocolate & dad is chocolate & white parti (but looked more white)
Very Excited!

Exciting time
Congratulations. This sounds a lot like our Desi’s litter - a bunch of chocolate morsels. We were last pick but hit the jackpot - he’s a great dog! Enjoy watching your puppy grow!
How exciting!
You are going to get your first choice - chocolate. Think of it that way. Whichever pup you end up with will be perfect! Congratulations. Be sure to post when you have pictures, when you get to choose, etc.
:)
So, the pick list order has been rearranged, we are now #5 BUT #1-4 all reserved females & there are 4 females in the litter.
So we will be getting a male & have begun the search for the perfect male (or gender neutral) name :)
Carol, Our first dog as adults was female and since then it just happened that I have males. Currently I have three boys and I wouldn't change a one. Name choosing is the most fun. I keep an ongoing list of dog names just for fun. Some of my current favorites are: Mo, Marty, Archie, Keel, Hank, Nolan, Polo, Rover, Ben, Ridge, Gibbs, Arrow/Aero, Morro, Luis. When we travel, I look for likely names. We just visited the Alabama Hills in California and I'm adding Bama to my list. :-}
Neat! Thanks. Yes, I've started a list:
Bupper (I was born in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada; Lab Retrievers originated there; that was the name of the dog my parents got for me there & brought back to the States with me!)
Bouton (a favorite dog from my absolutely favorite book/tv series - Outlander)
Malcolm (Mal) - LOVE the Firefly TV series
Wash - also from the Firefly TV series
Gallowglass - a favorite book series by Deborah Harkness (the All Souls Trilogy)
Rollo - from Outlander
LeBron - LBJ - my absolute favorite NBA player - GOAT!
who knows what else I'll come up with in the next 7 weeks!
You must be so excited! I hope your breeder sends you lots of pictures! I love my breeder, but she was not good on the internet so pictures were few and far between. Myla came from a litter of 13 and we knew we were getting a female, but all I wanted was a picture of just the females.
So far I love the name Bouton! Have fun!!!!!
Yeah, so far only 1 pic of the litter, shortly after birth but after all the pups got colored ribbons around their necks :)
she said she'd post more today, but nothing so far.
And yes, I am getting very excited. But it's going to be quite a weekend & 2 weeks. I live in Albuquerque, the pups are in Flagstaff & I will be at a conference in San Diego for the whole week prior to pickup. I'll fly back from San Diego that Friday evening & drive to Flagstaff Saturday morning to then bring puppy home on Sunday. Then I plan to take the next week off from work - so I'll be gone from work for 2 weeks, which is always tough with the following catch-up efforts. And with a 9 week old puppy in tow at work, it should be interesting times. FUN FUN FUN
Yikes, that's a whirlwind! I know you will be busy, but it's so exciting! I have watched your posts and know that you are soaking up a ton of knowledge from this website so I know you will be prepared for it all! I so remember how excited I was after I knew my Myla was born and could not wait until I finally got to meet her! It was almost unbearable! Have fun!!!
You should just fly to Flagstaff from your conference. :-}
