My almost 7 month old goldendoodle, Zelda, destroys almost all of her toys. She just chewed up a new ball in about 1 hour that we bought today that claimed to be tough and virtually indestructible. I would appreciate any suggestions!!! Thanks!!! Alexis

There is hope. Mocha destroyed every toy we gave her in no time at all. When she turned 12 months (end of December) she turned a corner and became a "big girl" thank heavens for that. Sooo, hang in there she too may get over the destruction of toys
We had the same problem with Mater when he was a pup. The only things that will survive are Kong products. Check them out at any pet supply store.
The black Kong toys are their most indestructible products. Nylabone also makes some virtually indestructible hard plasticy toys. The problem with those Nylabones is that they are so hard some dogs won't play with them. You might try shopping thrift stores and garage sales for stuff you can get cheap enough to allow destruction. Hopefully, it is just a phase.
Mater destructs the Nylabones too - just takes a bit longer. They say to get rid of them once they start to splinter off small bits, as they can be harmful.
Harley was/is the same way. I agree with most on here, the black kong is just about the only thing that can last! We also have a Nylabone that is doing well and a natural bone. Although Harley will only play with the bones when my husband or I hold them for him! Harley seems to prefer the soft squeeky toys too, so I just stock up on them when they go on clearance or big sale. I don't feel bad when a toy gets destroyed that only cost a few dollars! Good luck!
PS There is a company called Bamboo that makes a kong shaped brush to help you clean out your Kong!
One word - KONG!
Mater loves to destroy toys, especially stuffed squeaky toys. We've learned only hard rubber toys are the way to go. He even chews the cover off the Kong tennis balls. We have several Kongs and similar toys and they seem to be lasting pretty well.
Moose and Mica love to destuff soft toys (and they are 2 and 3), so some behaviors aren't grown out of. :) They can not destroy the Kongs, however. Just make sure you get the right size. Better slighty too large than too small. I also buy them these toys called Tuffies. They are super tough squeaky toys, but they are NOT totally indestructible. However, my two have not succeeded in destuffing one yet. They are rated up to 10 for toughness and the rating is on the tag of each toy. You can find more info on these toys online. Mine also love the nylabones and raw shank bones, but not to "play" with, just to chew on.
