Here is the information on how to submit your photos. Deadline for Submissions: September 23rd, 2018

This discussion is great opportunity to get feedback. Many people in this group have had their photos in the calendar year after year.

1.  If you can't decide which photos to submit, this group loves to give opinions! Number your photos and PLEASE, no more than 4 photos per post. You can post multiple times throughout the weeks but I don't want to see 20 pictures in a single post.

2. Post images that you want recommendations for regarding crop, or editing help.

3. Not sure if your image is up to snuff? Post and ask. We will give honest feedback as to what is working and not working.

4. If you are open to reshooting your photos, post your photo and we can give very helpful advice on how to reshoot and make it so much better!

Good luck!

Love the group shot and the last one especially.

Thank you! Is there anything about the 2nd one that I could have done differently to make it "pop" more? I couldn't quite decide how I wanted to edit that one.

Yes, I would bring some more light onto the dogs (selectively so that no more highlights on the tops of the heads are blown out), add some selective contrast, etc.  If you want me to give it a try, private message me and I'll send you my email address so that I can work on a full size, unedited image.

DJ - I emailed you the second picture! Along with another version of just my doodle (same settings / issues with the photo though). Thank you so much!

Beautiful photos!

Thank you!!!

How did you get that photo?  Did you glue those hats on or that great photoshopping?

I really love the last pic too!

Lol! Thank you! All of the dogs are very good at posing / staying still for the camera. They were regular birthday hats that had a string that went around their chin.

The first and third are simply wonderful. How did you get those hats to stay on?  I don’t think it ruins the photo but in the second one the tree directly behind the head is distracting to me.

Thank you! The mountain we were on (I say mountain, but it's really just a stone hill that takes about 10 minutes of hiking to get to the top lol) has different flowers that come out in each season. September is really pretty with those yellow flowers everywhere! The hats were just regular party hats that have a string that goes around their chin. They're all used to being in front of the camera / posing! Most of them are therapy dogs as well, so very well trained!

Great job at that group shot!! I don't know how you did it!! Kudos! I agree with DJ about that middle shot, but the third one is really nice!!

Thank you! I knew there was something "off" with the second shot, but I could not figure out how to fix it in lightroom. I sent it to DJ, so hopefully that one will turn out good! All of the dogs are used to being in front of the camera and posing, so that wasn't an issue at all! The only problem with a group that big is getting a shot with all of them actually looking!
