Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
This group is for those of us with puppies or dogs who look far more like the Golden or Labrador halves of themselves than the Poodle half. This group is for us to recognize the Poodle traits that shape our dogs while sharing experiences.

Thank you! Yes, he’s definitely unique...I’ve had quite a few people think that he is an irishdoodle. It’s crazy how much they can change in the first year. :)
It's those crimped ears, standing out ears that threw me, lol. He is very cute and very unique.
No, Charlie does not have an open face. He definitely has furnishings. Clearly he is a late bloomer who fooled us all!
Gigi is adorable, but I don't think she is going to "doodle". She has an open face (lack of furnishings) and she is flat coated. I'm wondering if you met the parents? She does not look like a multi-gen to me, but you do occasionally get "throw backs" with mixed breed dogs. I would also guess that she is going to weigh over 50 lbs at maturity.
Thank you so much for all your advice! He’s such a great puppy!
Agreed! He is a beautiful puppy nonetheless. Just stunning.
Nancy, I thought that too. But I think some brushing would help, especially in the profile photo. It just looks like the furnishings need to brushed forward and down
In this photo, I can see some facial furnishings there but I looked on your page and when I saw the other two poses, I am not totally positive.
I think he will look quite doodly when he's full grown. I have a friend who has a double doodle that looks a lot like your pup, his instagram account is @murphinatorthedoggo if you want to look him up. He looked quite similar as a puppy and is very doodly now.
Good luck, he's a cutie!
