We have friends looking for an ALD breeder in New England. Wally's breeder is no longer in business and Charlotte's doesn't have any current litters. Does anyone know of a breeder to recommend? Thanks!

Actually, breeders can ship puppies all over.  I prefer to fly to the puppy, pick them up, and fly back home with them under my seat (just my preference).  I have taken possession of puppies many ways - had them flown to me in the cargo area of the plane, gone to pick them up myself by car or by air, and rescued locally.  They get discombobulated being in the belly of an airplane with all the darkness and noises, but they are so happy to see a person when you rescue them.  First, find the breeder you like, then talk about how to get your pup.

We did get our ALD, Scrabble from an excellent breeder in Duxbury, MA. Her name is Jackie Barbiere of Tip Of The Shore Labradoodles. She breeds beautiful, healthy dogs and she is wonderful to deal with. Another breeder is Berkshire Hills. Hope this helps.

Kendra's Noble Vestal Labradoodles of Noble Indiana bred Murphy.  She is the awesome.  I flew there and flew home with Murphy under the seat in front of me.  It was totally worth the trip. I could go on and on but she checks all the good breeder boxes and quite a few more.  Murphy came home knowing  her name and to sit if she wanted a pet or a treat.  Also to "go pee"

Thanks for the recommendations. Our friends prefer to drive to pick up their puppy, so they're looking for a breeder within a few hours of Boston.

Both of the breeders that I recommended are within a short distance of Boston.
