Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

The 2009 doodle romp schedule is pending. We will be looking at having two romps at Puppy Play Ground in Indianapolis. We usually do four there, but this coming year we will need to locate other options if we want to do more than two, simply because of our size as well as the ability for the facility to be available we are being limited to days.

We are considering having at least one romp at Eagle Creek Dog Park in Indianapolis. It is a good option because we can reserve one side and devote it to the doodles. The down side is that it is outside, so all you folks that like to give your dogs a bath before coming may want to wait until after the romp. If no one shows up because of rain, then I do get stuck with out of pocket money to reserve it.

If you have other ideas that dont cost someone (me the coordinator) lots of money, please post and we will consider. IF you want to host and coordinate one too, that would be wonderful. We dont care who coordinates, we just want to have fun with the doodles.

Woof, that's a drive! Mostly highway though, luckily. We'd love to see you at a romp. The dogs have lots of fun.
Does anyone know of a romp in Fort Wayne, IN.
Any dates pending?
We have a romp scheduled for April in Indiana. Details can be located

Note: We have set up a new forum that is managed by the International Doodle Owners Group which is who the INDOG group actually operates within. We dont want to discourage people from continuing to participate in the DoodleKisses forum, but eventually we will be shifting the INDOG official group over to that location. That location will be where all our INDOG activates will be announced. I just dont have enough time in the day to manage this group and the official INDOG group.

I apologize to all Indiana doodle owners who have already joined this group within this forum and now we will be making a change to the other forum. The IDOG forum is very new and have not had a chance to notify all yet that we will be making this change.
Hi everyone! I would love to host a doodle romp this spring or summer I just need to know what type of place is needed. I have a fairly large fenced in back yard so maybe my house would work, it just depends on how many doodles plan on showing up! Whoever can help please write me back.

Thanks!

Hi Joe, Be careful what you wish for (especially if you are in the Indianapolis area). The doodle romps tend to attract a large number of people and dogs....all running this way and that (mostly the dogs). :) I think that is why they started holding them at dog parks and daycare facilities. The most important thing is plenty of room. If the place can be reserved so it is private, all the better. Some places want a deposit in advance, others will just let individuals pay as they show up. Access to shade, water, etc. are always good, but some of those items can be carried in. If you haven't attended a ROMP that's a good starting point to see what's up. Good luck, and on behalf of all the doodles, thanks for considering being a host. Krista, Moose, & Mica
I think there is a new pup park in Avon..Washington township....might be worth looking into. :)

Link to site, not brand new park.
Zelda and I attended the romp yesterday at Puppy Playground!!! So much fun :) We cannot wait for the next!!!
Is there any romps scheduled soon! I would love to go to one!
There used to be one scheduled every two months between February and October at Puppy Playground. I think they have reduced the number of times they will rent their facility to us since they have to lock the dogs being boarded up in a separate area. I thought about trying to organize one at the dog park we go to, but haven't had the chance to try to set it up. Keep an eye on the social pages at IDOG.biz (if you aren't already). Sometimes things are posted there that aren't posted to Doodle Kisses and vice versa.
