How much do you pay a dog sitter/walker?

We have found ourselves a fantasic sitter for Louie, Last night we had her over to watch Louie for us, but we are not sure how much we should have paid her? is there a general per hour amount?
I'm not sure she was expecting anything as she is a friend of a friend, but we insisted and gave her $30. is that acceptable?

I never had anyone actually sit. I have had a walker & she charges $13.00 per visit.

We live in a small town so things seem to cost less here in this arena.
It's less than $20 to board at our vet overnight.
And I pay a family friend $20 a day to stay out our house when we go on vacation.
Is this person a professional that is licensed and bonded? If not I would not pay that much without an overnight stay...however if that is reasonable to both of you...sounds ok.

We haven't had anyone stay with her for an extended time but our dog walker was one of the less expensive ones in the area charging only $10 a visit. The other dog walker in our neighborhood charges $15 a visit. Our dogwalker normally spent 20-30 minutes with our puppy.

We have a dog walker come for a half hour Monday-Friday. The company charges $14, the company is bonded and insured. While she is there she feeds him and goes on a short walk.

We pay $15.00 fpr a dog walker to pick up and drop the dog off . They take him to a dog park with five other dogs for a on hour run. This couple also boards dogs for $15.00 per day.
