I heard so much about Doodles being high energy that I was reluctant to get one. I have been so pleasantly surprised that Giada is such a "GO WITH THE FLOW" kind of girl. If you want to romp in the woods she is right there, but if you want to veg. on the couch, well shes happy to be there too. This winter was so cold that our daily walks were down to weekly walks, but she didn't seem to mind one bit to just run in the back yard.
How about your doodle..........High energy or not??
Jordan very Low Energy..... My Sister used to tease me that Jordan was "slow" as a puppy because she was so easy going.I think Jordan is just a very good dog, as you said "She goes with the flow".
Samantha is the same way. If I have a ball in my hand, she will be thrilled to go and go. But she also just loves my naptime. She is the best napper. I think they just adapt to whatever the moment calls for.

I also had heard about the nonstop doodles Tamara, and was on the fence before getting Kona. I have to say she has really turned into such a fantastic cuddler :) She uses all her energy up on her brother at home and her best friends at the dogpark. She saves a few ball tosses and lot's of hugs and cuddles for me and her dad. We are soooo thrilled with our little girl, her barking is so much better too.
My doodle boy is pretty low energy, he has his spirts of puppy energy, but they generally don't last long. He loves taking walks and is happy to romp with the most rambunctious dogs at the dog park, but is also content to be a power napper. During the winter storms he was content staying inside and getting a few short runs down the hallway to retrieve his Wubba. I am very happy with my his mild manner.
Hannah is so Low Energy that when we do agility classes I'm sometimes wondering if she will be taking a nap in the tunnel, or will I see her sometime soon...lol..but she is so Good, I love her and got spoiled because she is that fantastic of a dog. However, Honey, my Devil Girl, she is ADD doggy. Into everything, just the opposite of Hannah, but than she is also coming out of her shells, being stuck in a crate at a kennel for 6 months is no fun either. She is also a half sister to Barb's dog Dunkin who is also on DK, and they have a lot in common than just the same Mom. I know it's all my fault also cause I wanted a dog like Dunkin, well I got the female version "Honey"...lol
Cali is very low energy. I get excited when she prances or runs around the yard. It doesn't happen very often. She is a very mellow dog and so so lovable.
Hartley is HIGH energy!! He has mellowed a bit since he turned one year old, but he still needs to be walked three times a day, for at least half an hour each time (not much fun in -25C weather this winter!!). We hike at weekends, go to the dogpark once a week, play fetch until I think my arm will fall off, go to obediance classes once a week, and are waiting to start back at agility. He gets bored easily and constantly needs to have new challenges and things to learn. He is definitely doing better with holding his concentration for longer. I have seen some doodles at the dogpark that have been just totally crazy and out of control, but I think that might be more to do with how they were raised/ trained than being a doodle. Nature vs Nurture and all that.
Not too sure about the new one yet, he is only 14 weeks old and we are waiting for his personality to develop!!
Dyson is quite high energy! He is still a puppy (5 months), but it is very rare that we can sit and watch a movie on a Saturday night without him getting into trouble. Last weekend we went to obedience class, went for a car ride, had 3 walks in the deep snow (to tire him out more), and then had visitors over (he LOVES visitors!), and he actually crashed at around 8pm. It made us look pretty bad 'cause we're always telling people how hyper and crazy he is and then he sleeps through almost their entire visit! But that is the first time that has ever happened! He gets the 'zoomies' as well (or as we call it, "The Red Zone"), we often have to pick him and and hold him for a couple minutes to calm him down after that! He's getting pretty big to pick up though!
