I'm curious, what is your doodle's strangest behavior(s)?
Noah does some things that are very odd:
1. He runs away when I bring out his harness, collar or leash - he runs to a dog bed, the couch, or an oversized stuffed animal - anything he can rest on. He hides his legs from me and lays his chin on the ground and will not help me at all getting his gear on. Once I put his harness on, he takes off like a bat out of he*l to the front door, slides into the door, rings his poochie bells and lays down. (I'm seriously going to have to video tape this one some day)
2. If he's eating a bone or flossie, he wants to eat it on me. If I'm sitting on the couch, he lays in my lap to eat his bone. If I'm laying down, he'll lay on my legs while he eats his bone - he's not happy unless some part of his body is touching mine.
Okay, I just thought of one while watching Gracie eat her dinner. She does this EVERY meal. She eats her dry food from a raised bowl. She eats for a few minutes then backs a little bit away from the bowl. Then, with her butt on the floor (sitting) she stretches her neck and chin way up in the air, sometimes even lifting her front legs off the ground. It's almost as if she is getting the food to go down so she can eat more. Then she returns to her bowl to continue eating. She does this every meal. There is never any choking or other associated behavior that would concern me. It's hilarious!!!
Whenever I tell Halas I'm leaving the house or he thinks I'm leaving the house, he does floppy puppy. You can see floppy in Halas' video "Guilt - A Dark Comedy".
Hi I am a newbie but this is Gabby's funniest move. She is black and is 8 months old but since she was a puppy she will sit by your feet or on the sofa and stand on her head with her butt in the air. She will stay that way until u push her over or call her. It looks really weird.
This behavior comes and goes, but several times a year (for an extended period), Penny sits in front of her water dish, drops her snout in, and blows bubbles. Picks up her snout, dribbles water EVERYWHERE, and drops it in again and blows. She is easily amused. :-)
Funny! Grover does this too when there's a piece of kibble in the water bowl...... "bobbing for kibble"..... and he blows bubbles underwater, like a hippo.
My guy Choco snaps his teeth together, he is not snapping at you, he just clicks his teeth together. He goes snap snap snap and snap. We thought at first that he had a problem with his jaw, but his breeder said he is just asking weird. He also thinks he is hiding from you when he hinds behind a tree or a plant. When you are getting ready for bed and pull back the covers, he jumps on the bed and lies down on your pillow. He hardly ever sleeps with us, he just asks like he is teasing us.
Every single time Bear gets let out of his crate he will run to the bathroom and grab a towel dragging it into the living room. After he goes outside he goes back to his crate and drags his blanket into the living room. If any clothing is on the floor or in reach he will drag it into the living room. He doesn't do anything with it once it's in the living room but it MUST be there.
Now he thinks my blankets should be on the living room floor as well. Bear doesn't even lay next to the stuff he drags. Crazy guy.
EVERY time I come home (or any family member) Jaxon HAS to bring you a present. It can be a stick, a bone, a towel, a blanket...whatever is handy. But always has to do this and has done since he was a little puppy.
