I'm curious, what is your doodle's strangest behavior(s)?

Noah does some things that are very odd:
1. He runs away when I bring out his harness, collar or leash - he runs to a dog bed, the couch, or an oversized stuffed animal - anything he can rest on. He hides his legs from me and lays his chin on the ground and will not help me at all getting his gear on. Once I put his harness on, he takes off like a bat out of he*l to the front door, slides into the door, rings his poochie bells and lays down. (I'm seriously going to have to video tape this one some day)

2. If he's eating a bone or flossie, he wants to eat it on me. If I'm sitting on the couch, he lays in my lap to eat his bone. If I'm laying down, he'll lay on my legs while he eats his bone - he's not happy unless some part of his body is touching mine.

3. Noah marks dog poo

Bisbee licks our glass patio doors. I mean he will sit and lick, slurp, lick and lick and lick. If one of the orphan cats should come to visit, he will lick and slurp until there is literally a puddle by the doors....gross. When it's time for bed he will jump up on the bed, visit and cuddle until lights out.... then off to the shower he goes to sleep ??? And, he will also run and get a toy to greet you (or anyone) at the front door .... he looks out the sidelight then bolts to get something in his mouth before the door opens...lol He really is funny.....
i thought my guys were the only ones that ran away when putting on the harness! i don't get it, it's so odd. they know it means they are going to the dog park but they both run away to hide.
You did say "go for a ride"
OMG ROTFLMAO!!! At Deuce "going for a ride"! PMP!
Lizzie's pretty good but she does have some strange habits. 1) She has to try to "bury" her dry food. She will dance around the bowl putting her nose in and out and in and out like the hokey pokey without actually moving anything! One morning though I came home and she had both of her napping towels rolled up and piled in her bowl. 2) She tries to catch the cat's tail whenever it moves. 3) If the bathroom door is not securely shut/locked, Lizzie will get IN the shower with me and play in the water. 4) Whenever she finds water, she finds dirt to roll in, so that I always have a muddy puppy!
Timbow follows my husband to the door when he goes to work and shoves his body between Dan and the door so it's hard for him to leave. He also tries to walk himself when we go for walks. He puts the leash in his mouth and walks with his head held high. Guess he thinks he's helping! :-) He also likes to try to drink any falling water....water from a hose, shower, rain. He loves it.
Mija likes to dance--on two occasions specifically:
the first is when you rub the top her back down to her tail, she'll step from one hind leg to the other quickly...we call it the "back 2 step"....
...the second occasion is when she drinks water, she'll do the same leg dance only with her two front paws....obviously, we call that one the "front 2 step"...LOL!
Roo loves to retrieve his zogoflex bone from the swimming pool. If he cannot get me to throw it in, he pushes it in from the sundeck. If he pushes it in anywhere else he can reach it without actually going in, so he always pushes it in from the sundeck. When he is really bored, he has begun teaching himself to get his bone while it is underwater. He walks into the pool using the steps, stands on the first step and drops his zogoflex into the pool. It floats. Roo takes his paw and pushes it underwater and then dives for it trying to get it before it floats up! It is a kick to watch. Roo also brings his zogoflex to anyone who visits, in the hopes that they do not know the house rules and throw it for him to fetch in the house.

Tigger knows how to fetch and will do it for a little while, but he would much prefer to run with Roo, while Roo plays fetch. Tigger does not make any attempt to beat him to the bone or ball but just runs along side of Roo and then waits as Roo picks up the bone and runs back to me with him. Tigger also feels that he must "rescue" Roo as Roo climbs out of the pool. He does this by grabbing Roo's ear and pulling like crazy. As soon as Roo is free of the water, Tigger drops his ear. I can only stop this by keeping Tigger on a leash. Roo does not seem to mind much.

When the two of them play tag for some reason Tigger is always "it". They never take turns like my other dogs have.
1. Rue feels the need to climb up on me when she's afraid and will repeatedly come over and sit (as if begging) and then wrap her front paws around my neck. I think it's also because I used to give her a 'good morning hug' as a 'I have to go to work' transition and would put my own arms around her neck...now she insists on me doing this each morning, but it's a two way hug...

2. Rue steals boots. She doesn't chew them. She doesn't hide them. She runs into the house from outside, sticks her nose in a boot, picks it up and runs around with it. When she's done she puts the boot back...rain boots are her favorite.

3. Rue likes slides. She likes to climb up slides mostly. Since she comes to work with me at a child care center, she mimics the kids and goes up the little stairs inside and down the slide...over and over again.

BTW: Rue also feels that same need to eat a bone on me....especially anything that will make me messy.
Shiloh stands up on his hind legs and stretches his front paws over my shoulders and gives me a hug everytime I get home....he will also do this while I'm sitting on the couch.....he'll throw his front paws over my shoulders and licks me too....hugs and kisses! Fenway tries to imitate it....but he is much smaller so he doesn't reach!
Yankee does the same thing when he greets family. Paws on shoulders and licks.
We just got back from a weekend camping trip. My husband informs me that my doodle is an insane raving lunatic! LOL! She absolutely freaks if I am ahead of her walking and he is holding the leash. She pulls and pulls and makes this panicky stressed squeaking/chirping sound ...I actually turned around and yelled into the serenity ABBBY SHUTT UPPPP!! LOL! I dont know if she is afaraid I am going to get away from her or what. That is the bahavior that I hate the most, besides the biting me, and peeing on the carpet, and....remind why the H--L I got a doodle again? LOL!
