Not sure what you mean about dying the doodle... I had never heard of doing so. I guess I am wondering why would you do it? Anyway I like Cali's coat the way it is and my biggest fear would be messing it up somehow if I chose to dye it.
That's what I'd like to know. What do you use? If it's food coloring, not a big problem, but if it's chemicals - it's a wrong thing to do in my opinion.
I'd be curious to know how long the grooming takes too (for the Ninja poodle). It might be done in sessions...who knows? I have no problem with dying dog hair...if it's done using safe dyes why not? It's the doggy weddings that freak me out :-O
i dont see anything wrong with the dyeing, i just think its kinda funny...I saw a poodle the other day and her feet, tail and head were dyed pink and then her body was still white lol
When I wanted to get my daughter's ears pierced as a baby....my mom said that I shouldn't. She said that I shouldn't be making those choices for my daughter. That when she was old enough to tell me that she wanted her ears pierced...then I should do it. So as soon as Fenway tells me he wants to be green, so he can truly be THE GREEN MONSTAH...then I will dye him. =) I don't think that will be any time soon. =)
Ok I should let you know some of the things that you might be wondering.
1 The dye i used is a dog safe product called Top Performance Hair Dye Gels. It is safe.
2 It wears off very fast. in about 2 weeks it is all gone and you cant tell that she was dyed.
3 I only did it 2 time and i dont think i will do it again.
4 I love Tilly the way she is but as far as the mohawk goes it has become Tillys due. Every one knows her for it. Its her summer cut.
I am letting it grow out know so by the winter she will be back to her shaggy self. I only trimmed her in that cut for
the summer.
I am an inspiering groomer that is trying new things.
Please dont judge me because i dyed tilly. I know that most people would never do it and i really do love tillys normal hair due but dont we all do crazy things once in a while.
Beth, I apologize for sounding so harsh. I really didn't mean to sound that way, I think I was just taken aback and didn't really think it through. As long as you use something safe (which you do) and Tilly doesn't mind, then why not. My parents think I'm crazy for having 2 puppies at once, and for building a house in the wilderness. I guess we all have to do what we think is right. Again, I'm sorry I did not mean to offend or hurt you with my comment.
