Yes, there are a few including me. I just got a puppy from Burkhart 2 weeks ago.
What did you get? Details? Neely was born Jan 17/09. Did you get your first dood from them too. I did see other breeders that intrigued me but we wanted to stay relatively close to home as well.
Who are the parents of this new bundle. It would be neat to talk with other burkhart owners and maybe siblings..
I got an F1B chocolate goldendoodle and named him Finn. I also wanted to be able to drive to get my puppy and I specifically wanted a chocolate this time. I got my first GD Yankee from Highview Poodles & Doodles and if she had chocolate, I would have gone back there. She is a home breeder and wonderful. Yankee is much calmer and easy to train. Finn is a little bit of a terror around the house, harder to train. He is 10 weeks old. Finn's mother is a goldendoodle (Sasha) and father is a poodle.

It was a 6 hr drive one way so we spent the night at a hotel. Here is a pic of Finn at the Hotel.

Our goldendood Thomas is from Burkhart kennels. He was born Sept 30/08 and is almost 10 mths old. He is of course a male and was apricot in colour when we got him but has changed to a golden colour. Her (Lavina) dogs in my opinion are exceptional. Since we got Thomas from her we have met several doods from Burkhart - actaually we met a couple with a chovolate this weekend up at our cottage on Georgian Bay. He is also a Burhart dood and was just beautiful at 14 mths old. We brough our little guy home on November 25th at 8 lbs. He now weighs 75 lbs and has a wonderful temperament. We were not expecting him to get this big as his mother was a small retreiver-I cannot remember her name at the moment and our paperwork is packed away as we are moving.
Does their size at 8 weeks mean anything when it comes to adult size? I was told that Finn's parents are around 50 and 45 lbs and that he will probably be around that too. However, he was a little over 12 lbs at 8 weeks.

I tried to find at picture of Thomas at 8 weeks that looked similar to Finn's pose in your picture. Now we were told that the pup's were around 8 lbs. but he was the "tank" of the litter and honestly we never weighed him until his first vet visit two weeks later. I think he was almost sixteen pounds at that time-so at 10 weeks or so. He had MUCH thicker wavier hair than all of the other pups which made him look heavier-but he was a chubby little guy. Also- his mom weighed only 50 lbs- and his dad-the standard poodle was about 55 lbs. Now at almost 10 mths old-we have a 75 lb monster on our hands. He is very lean at the moment and the vet tells me that he will still "fill out" which I gather means gain muscle and weight. Yikes!!
I wish I could show you a current photo-but my camera is broken and I just got a new one for my birthday, but I can't figure out how this silly thing works.
Try using the instruction booklet. LOL. Just kidding. I never use it, I always get my son to show me quickly how to use things. I just bought a car and he had to show me how to use lots of gadgets in it that I didn't even know were there.

He looks much bigger than Finn. I go to the vet's next week so I'll see how much he gained.
You are so right about reading the instructions-but honestly I probably would not understand them either. My son also sets everything up for us-he was here tonight and I showed him the video I took of Thomas last night and he showed me how to send it. This new camera is neat. It is called a "Flip" and is the size of a cell phone but takes live videos. Tonight I will try to post a video of our beast misbehaving when he got on a chair and was biting at the arm-which he knows he is not allowed to do. For some reason-he never touched anything in our house until two weeks ago. I am told this is adolescence. Just another stage, they say. Well-I am already fed up. Hopefully-this doesn't last toooo long.
no sorry
Neely was just over 10 lbs at 7 wks. He is now 6 mths and 53 pds
Looks like you are going to have a big boy on your hands too. At 6 mths, 3 weeks old when Thomas was nuetered he was 59 lbs. At almost 10 mths(in 9 days) he weighs 75 lbs. or maybe more. He looks bigger again this week.
I wanted a big dog. My boys picked him up and carried him like he was a puppy again. He looks so cute! He just snuggles in and puts his head beside theirs. Although he does look a little sad too, maybe he misses being little or more likely is worried they might drop him.
