I was just wondering if your doodle(doodles) like the car. because ours just loves going for car rides, long or short ones. I was wondering if it is rare for them to like it?
Yankee hated the car and when he was a puppy, he would froth at the mouth or throw up. Now he doesn't throw up anymore and will get in the car but he doesn't move at all. He is still nervous.
I think Finn is going to like the car but don't know yet as he is only 10 weeks.
Thalie loves to go for a ride with her big sister Gamine and us of course..
She was very good when I went to pick her up at the rescue but since she met her big sister she love it even more. As long as she is glue to gamine, she is fine and sleep most of the time.
Lucy just loves the car! She totally loves to ride shot gun and sits up like a person and even appears to look both ways when I am driving (it's really comical) I'm not sure if she is mimicing me or not. I sure love these dogs...Lucy is a very smart dog and is a wonderful pet. What's your doddles name?
Thanks for all your replies. sounds like it is not to rare to like the car. Yah i guess as long as he is with us he will be happy. Our doddles name is oliver and he loves the car know.
We just spent the day together in our car. I had a dr app and he waited in the car with the sunroof and windows cracked. Then we went to the nursing home and picked up Gramma, of course we had some room to room visits first. Then Gramma went back to her room while I signed her out and had a few other Neely visits. The funny thing was I said to Neely find gramma and he went on the hunt for gramma, he went into one room and there was a visiter and when Neely looked up he jumped back and started looking around like Holy thats not gramma! So we had a pet there and then we went back to finding gramma and with very little direction he headed into her room and she was in the bathroom so he continued his search for her all around her room, it was so funny as he went to her bed, not her roommates bed, and he started looking under the bed, then he went around the other side of her bed and looked under there too then he put two paws up on the bed and he was looking over the top of it for her, then she came out of the bathroom and he went to her all in his full body wag. Then we got in the car and drove to the next town to pick up my aunt. All the while Neely was in the back with his no spill water bowl and our car has a little storage area along the side of the seats for change ect and it is the perfect size and height for his food. He also has extended air vents for the air. Then off we went to another town to get out of the carr and see my sister and her dog. So neely got to go and wrestle with his cousin for a hour or so. Then he came in and drank all her dogs water and washed most of her kitchen floor while doing so. (So glad we invested in the no spill water bowl suggested on this site) Then hopped into the car and went back along the route to drop everyone off. My aunt said Neely you are the best dog, he just rides along happy as a clam. She just loves his behaviour. Then we went home but stopped at an auction sale first. Lots of people and legs and he had lots of tricks for the kids that came up, although they never gave Neely a lick of their ice cream!!! Then back in the car to head home. He stood up when we pulled in the lane way and waited for me to take off his harness and lead before he jumped out to greet the family. He's heading to baseball tonight too, maybe his best friend Reginald (my sons girlfriends black lab) might be there to play with too!! By the way my car does need vaccumed from all the ball diamond sand he brings into the car with that fur!
