Need Help In Ontario, Canada and Upstate New York Areas
After posting this in the groups Toronto and Canada, with no response, I will place this plea in the Main Forum.
Meet Olli ( pronounced O’ Lee ).
My family would LOVE to adopt him. Two things are holding up this adoption: Transportation and a passport.
1. Olli needs a ride to the border out of Canada to cross around the Buffalo area. ( CAN SOMEONE IN CANADA DRIVE HIM TO THE BORDER?)
2. Olli needs to cross the border. ( I WILL BE AT THE BORDER TO MEET HIM )
I would love to have the papers placed in his mouth and he could walk across himself and run straight to us and his forever NEW HOME!
Can’t you just visualize this??? Yeah, I’m a dreamer
I need one or the other or both from anyone who would like to donate for a great cause.
So Canada, here is Olli’s location:
2 hours east of Toronto; 2 hours south-west of Ottawa; 3 hours west of Montreal
in a small town called Napanee
which is right on the main highway [interstate] between all those cities
Halfway between Kingston and Belleville to be more precise.
It’s a long 3.5 hour drive, but for a great cause.
New Yorkers or Canada:
Someone to walk a doodle across. The new passport regulations are holding us back.
Yeah, I’m a dreamer but I can hope can’t I?
If you are in Ontario would you please consider adopting this handsome red doodle!!!!
UPDATE:
No beautiful Canadian Red Doodle for us this time.
The DRRC and I have not heard from Olli’s mom for 3 days. After leaving emails, placing Linda, Yankee, and Finn, and KingstonTodd in a holding pattern, and making travel and hotel plans everything has come to a halt. I would get arrested if I went to the border and hung out all weekend hoping they would show up. It is a 2 day trip, so I guess I will have to call it off for this weekend.
This would be a very difficult decision to give up your dog. I hope she finds some peace with her decisions but at the same time I just wish she had the doodle butts to let us know she decided something else.
Thank you all for everything you do out there!
