lie down to eat ??

Baker eats every meal lying down with the bowl between his feet...do other doodles do that too ?

Mine does or I should say one of mine does. Dustin, our goldendoodle and really good eater, will lay down and eat like this when he's feeling especially lazy, which is most of the time! I kind of think it's cute.

Murphy will do it to drink especially when he's just come in from a long walk. If I free fed him like Ozzy, I think he'd lay there and eat the whole 5 gal. jug of food in one day!!!! Do they really stop when they've had enough? Murphy acts like he's starving at every feeding and his weight is fine, gets even a little chunky now and then if we aren;t as active like when we're traveling a lot.

Yep! Leo is only 12 wks old, but he very often lies down to eat or drink!

Our Blossom has done that since she was an itty bitty puppy eating puppy gruel. We thought it was SO funny! And she has continued to do it even though she's 65 pounds now. I figured it was to keep the rest of the DOODS at bay... not that she gets much competition at the bowl. The others KNOW who runs the show around here!
