About Me:: I live on our family farm of over 100 acres and we have a couple of dogs and horses. I am a Special education teacher in a local High school.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: We just got our first Doodle and his name is Gnarls "Rigby" Barkely III. We have a rescue dog that is part Lab(Maggie) and a mini Australian Shepherd (Callie). I have a registered Paint horse named "Te" with a white face and blue eyes and a beautiful black pony(with blue eyes) named "Meg" that keeps him company. Also have a few barn cats!

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I liked the personality and friendliness of a Doodle. Also the low to non-shed coat is a plus!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: I would like to teach my Doodle to find Deer Sheds, travel with us and just enjoy the woods when we take walks etc.

Rigby and I went to Tractor supply today he behaved pretty well, much better than in the past. Not that he was ever bad, just not leash trained and loves people way too much. Then we went to Lowes and he was a perfect angel! He must have gotten the excitement out at TSC. He sat nicely. Layed down when I was looking at items and told him to wait. Don't take your Doodle shopping unless you have double the time to do so!

So tonight we had just enough time to run into Lowe's... took Rigby with us...Never go to any store with your Doodle if you have "just enough time to run in quick"! LOL. We were 5-10 min. late for our other appt. If it wasn't Rigby stopping every Tom, Dick, and Harry for attention, it was someone else stopping me to pet him and ask what type of dog he was.

I've never written a Blog post so here it goes!

Lately Rigby has been finding lots of yucky(dead) things to play with! He's brought home a dead mole/mouse, bird, and a frog! All in the last week! Actually, the mole was still half alive. I think our barn cats have a conspiracy against him and leave them for Rigby to find! Their worlds changed a little since Rigby came home. They probably think he'll get into trouble and be banished! Sophie is still doing about the same as Thursday when she came home. still eating and drinking normally but a little mopey. I think that is from all the medication. She goes to the vet tomorrow to have checkup blood work to see if her platelets are back to normal. Once I get the results from that I will put out another update on where we need to go from there.
