- I am married with a daughter (97) and have lived in Kingwood, Texas since 1999. We relocated to Houston from the UK in 1998.
A girlfriend spotted Chester (a labrdoodle) on a local yard sale site.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Mini F1b Labradoodle, called Chester - born 11-23-07
He originally belonged to a local family who wanted a hypo-allergenic dog for their growing family. Unfortunately, their youngest son was allergic to Chester’s saliva and boy is Chester a kisser. Any chance he will smother you in 100's of kisses!!
He was about 5 months when we got him and although a very eager to please puppy, he thought about becoming a very naughty adolescent. It was not the puppy that needed training but us as a family. He pushed every button you could imagine. I am pleased to say we have worked through it and have not lost any slippers in a while!
Shortly after Chester joined us we had to put our beloved 14 y/o golden to sleep, and then a year later our aging black lab called Angus. He still has a playmate our Tonkinese cat called Blue.
I have been doing some digging on the internet and found out recently that Chester was bred by Suzan Gaston, over in the Beaumont area, her website is www.labradoodlebabies.com. I would love to hear from any owners of her puppies.

One of the hairiest dogs I have ever come across, not sure which parts will shed, check back in six months!!

- After having a house full of tumbling dog hair i was thinking about something that might not shed so much. I was looking into Goldendoodles, knowing the golden retriever breed after owning one for 14 years.
Chester was up for adoption on a local yard sale site and the rest is history

- We visit the dog park, swim in the pool and visit with neighbors on our walks around the neighborhood.

I helped Doodle Rescue!!

I have just returned from the airport, and after dropping off a very sweet puppy, called Boca.
We picked her up yesterday afternoon and held her overnight. What an absolute sweetie she is and her new family are going to be so over the moon.
My two doodles were head over heels in love with her and the cat didn't bat an eyelid, either.
She has a litter sister that still needs a home, if you are on the hunt for a new doodle...…

I saw your note that you had an F1b rescue and then your note about Boca. I am actively looking for a doodle and my preference is for a F1b goldendoodle or labradoodle (any size and either sex). Apparently you do send dogs by air, so please, please, please let me know if you get any leads there in Texas. My ALD was an over-aged puppy and came from Texas from a breeder in San Marcos.

Too hot for romping these days. I see a few more doodles in the Kingwood area and that's cool.
Toby is good these days - he turned four last week! Right now he has a puncture wound upper shoulder/back/lower neck area. I think from a freak accident with a prong collar a dog friend, who was here a few days before, was wearing. We found the visitor's collar on the ground and then 3 days later this horrible wound showed up. I had to think hard as to where it may have come from. I think they might have caught on eachothers collars and in some twisting a prong got Toby. We were all there at the time and the two of them play so nicely that I know it was a quick accident. Toby will be fine thanks to antibiotics! Yes, he is a GOLDENdoodle!
