About Me:: I am a mom to two autistic boys who are the lights of my life! My husband is in the Navy and we enjoy traveling.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Maggie is a multigen Australian Labradoodle who was donated by Landmarklabradoodles to the NorthStar Foundation. She is a service dog to my two autistic boys and is an invaluable member of our family.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: My older son Kyle is allergic to pet dander so we couldn't get the traditional Labrador Retriever or Golden Retriever as our service dog. We were very lucky that the time we inquired about getting a service dog through the NorthStar Foundation, Barbie, the breeder at LandmarkLabradoodles was generously offering to donate a puppy from her litter. It worked out so well that I can't help but think it was meant to be and a gift from God. Kyle is thankfully not allergic to Maggie.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Everything! She goes with us everywhere.

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: I do. I scissor trim her in hot weather and she gets a bath once a week.

Is that a Poodle?

I took Maggie to the groomers last year and they shaved her face. At first I didn't care for it but it was so much easier to keep her face clean that I've kept it like that and really like it now. Only thing is most everyone thinks she is a poodle now. Whenever we are out in public, that's the number one question we are asked. "Is that a Poodle"?
