I am in need of being distracted and keeping busy.... I have netflix and the ability to download just about any book that is available...

I can't get out and drive on my own right now so I can't get to the library or things like that.....  I am bored in between treatments and I was wondering what your favorite dog book or movie was.

I read the Temple Grandin (spelling sorry) Animals make us human and it was interesting.  Since I am about all things Jack I would love to watch a good movie and read some books.... Educational books, training books, food books, novels but for the love of God do not recommend Hachi that movie almost put me in respiratory failure I cried so hard.. LOL

Thanks for any ideas.......I tried to look on the internet about raw feeding as I am doing that and I found some groups but apparently since I am doing commercial raw and ground I am "not doing it right so I am not accepted"   Seriously.. that is funny.... truly.......

I wish it was a movie too!  With all these ideas, I sure hope Jack likes movies :)  If a dog barks (or whines) on the TV, Finn is all about joining in!!  Hoping for good news from the surgeon.

Thanks! Jack only paid attention to these current movies...he usually is busy looking out the window!

"The Guardian" by Nicholas Sparks is a great book about a dog. The husband knows he will die and has a puppy delivered to look after his wife when he's gone. I think its a Great Dane. Too bad its not a movie. So many of his books get turned into movies.

Aww so sweet.. A teenager died in our neighborhood and right before he did he got a puppy for his mom! Thanks for the idea.....I love Nicholas Spark.....

I really like the movie and book "Marlie".  Also the old Tom Hanks movie "Hooch"  it is so funny.

I saw Marlie when I first got Jack...I watched it with a former friend who also got a doodle shortly after me....I think we both were in tears because it brought home the point that our dogs were going to die someday...now I am glad I watched it because...well Jack isn't going to be here forever and I want every day to be amazing for him....

Turner and Hooch is on my list to watch again ...thanks!!!!!! Hurry up guys I am gaining on you!!!! LOL

Thanks for all the great ideas..

Homeward Bound is a good one too.

I have on,y seen parts of that...added to my list thanks!

LOVE that movie! Both of them actually. :-)

For pure craziness, I like the Beethoven movies. Yes, they're sorta stupid, but I like Saint Bernards. Now, if only they didn't shed and didn't drool....

And because of this I had to look on Netflix. White Fang was another one of my favorites.

Thanks I will add them.... I am looking for upbeat nothing heavy or too sad type movies and books informational or touching....

Thanks...oh and as far as silly movies .my mom and I own Air Bud and Santa Paws....lol never saw Beethoven.....
