Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi to all Doodlers. I'm brand new to this group. About a year ago, I was in a position to adopt a young dog that was almost beaten to death by an owner (who didn't ask for the dog in the first place) who was in the early stages of Alzheimer's. The dog had to be removed from her home immediately. A kindly person took the dog from her and it arrived on my doorstep a day later. The dog is about 20 inches at the shoulder and weighs about 22 lbs. (and gaining). I've had a Standard Poodle and can attest to the fact that the hair on this dog is very similar in curliness and texture, but his nose seems to be a little shorter and his eyes are not huge. He is fairly uniformly colored in ivory with some darker beige on his ears, back and tail. He has a white tip on his tail.
Not that it matters at all, because this dog is now loving, and loved, member of the family, but I'm just curious for an opinion. I'll try to attach some pics for you to look at. Happy New Year to all. Linda in Tucson, AZ

He is beautiful!! He does look a lot like our F1b "mini doodle" (She is not so mini @ 42 pounds).
Definitely a poodle mix but could be a bichon-poodle mix or some other small breed--22 pounds is a great weight and he is a mini if he is a doodle, but if he is a poodle mixed with a smaller breed, that would make sense too.
Linda - Welcome to DK! Thank you for taking this dear dog into your home - he is lovely looking and looks like a doodle to me : )
Thanks for loving and helping this special dog. He is adorable, whatever he happens to be. Very cute! Welcome to DK.
Think so. Wrote a nice long answer, but it did not post. He reminds me of my ALD. They look alike in the face. Poodles are mixed with everything today, but I think he does look like a small doodle and resembles the ALDs.
Whatever he is he is CUTE! What a sweet little face.
