after over 30 ignored phone calls over four weeks and countless emails unanswered and ignored and from the advice given on this website we sent this email to the breeder:
"At this point I feel we have given you more than enough opportunities and time to get back to us and answer our questions about the puppy we reserved, the process, and the many concerns we have noted in previous emails.
Your voicemail is consistently full, and you have been completely unavailable to us. You have not given us opportunities to discuss our concerns and have only sent us short emails with pictures of a puppy and yet no answers to our questions or ways in which we can better reach you. In fact, the last phone conversation we have had where you actually picked up your phone, was when you were trying to run our credit card.
You have excuses after excuses about why you are unavailable, which lends the question of who is even caring for these dogs when you are so obviously busy traveling and then some.
All this leads to a laundry list of suspicion, to which while we have provided you with ample opportunities to explain, you have not taken the opportunity to do so.
You have misrepresented yourself as a quality breeder, and we are no longer interested in working with you. At this point in time, we are requesting a full Refund for the puppy we purchased."
of course she didn't reply to the email!
I disputed the charges with the credit card company. the process can take up to 3 month to resolve. the rep suggested that we try conference calling the breeder to see what happens and the call went to voice mail.
so now i'm preparing a packet of phone records and emails to send to the credit card company to support my claim and then i will have to wait and see what happens.
Lets hope for the best. ...

Grr, what a pain. So sorry you have to go through this. I'm assuming that this "breeder" is not in your area so you can't go knock on her door. If that's the case, you could try and report her to the local authorities (depending on what the laws are around there).
I truly hope you find a reputable breeder for your future puppy.
So sorry your family is going through this aggravation. Getting a puppy/new family member should be a fun and exciting time. Good luck with your dispute and I hope you soon find a reputable breeder with a puppy for you.
What a frustrating situation! I am sorry you are having to go through this. Given how important it is to trust your breeder, I am glad you found out how unavailable the breeder is now, before you fell in love with a puppy. Can you imagine how hard she would be to contact if there was something seriously wrong with the pup? Wishing you the best. I would think the credit card company could get this money back.
Awwwww....so sorry you are having to go through all this. I know the kids will be disappointed, but you'll find a puppy just as adorable, and a breeder who will work with you instead of against you.
I am glad that you made the decision to cancel you puppy from this breeder. Good luck in your dispute.
Wishing your family the puppy of your dreams.
Good luck, I hope you are able to get your money back!
Good for you! I think you made the right decision.
I do think that something positive will come from this, I think that as you remain a part of this community you will be able to help educate new members who come here while they are going through the process of looking for a breeder. Your story is a powerful one that provides a very strong reminder of how important it is for everyone to do their due diligence.
You have our full support! Keep us posted on what happens with the dispute AND with your search for a new breeder!
Very well written email! I truly hope this will all work out very soon so you can concentrate on getting the puppy you were meant to have from a great breeder!
Good luck. Hope you get your money back.
