I'm just curious to see if any other doodles do this. Toby will come up, stand across the front of us and lean on us. It seems to be an affection thing so we call it "lean love"!
and really i much rather use something safe then something that is known as a neurotoxin and place it topically on a pet. Especially since we have children. Those topicals when we pet our critters then get on our hands, can absorb in our skin or even worse hand into babies mouth. So where do you think that chemical then resides?
LOL!!! Gaston-Cramer does this ALL THE TIME! It's hysterical when he does it to our little Bindi (a very tiny maltese). He'll lean on her and she'll basically disappear under him and he'll look at you as if to say "what Maltese? I don't see a Maltese????"
This is funny cus the first dog I ever met that did this is my son;s choc. lab. All 80pds of him. It is his show of affection and submission. Maybe it;s the retriever side of the doodle?
Yes, my Bella Daisy is a leaner ! I guess with all of the replies, it must be a doodle trait : )
Also, when she stops leaning, she almost always sits on my feet LOL
