Does anyone's Doodles like to get a toy or a bone whenever someone comes over and try to show it to them or give it to them?  Everytime someone comes over Hunter immediately gets a bone or a toy and tries to show it to them ~ she doesn't want them to take it or throw it she just tries to show them while she is greeting them! It is so funny!

YES & so does my sister's doodle. I think its just their nature.
I haven't seen Darwin doing this so far, but that sounds so adorable!
When ever anyone comes over, our doodle has to get something to bring to them in his mouth and he kind of grumbles. Usually it is a shoe or something that is in the foyer. It is very cute. I think it is the retreiver in him.
Oliver does that too, he goes to his toy basket and pulls out a toy or ball, or whatever, and brings it to the guest. AND, if that doesn't work, he keeps doing it till he finds one that he thinks will make the guest happy...Of course if the guest makes a fuss over whtever he brings, he gets all excited and runs in circles...Thats my Ollie
LOL Hunter does that too! She goes and gets something else if it doesn't make her guest happy! LOL
YES! Rosco will quickly grab a bone and excitedly show it off before lying down to chew on it.
Bella does this also, she is a GD & always has to have something in her mouth to greet people. We were thinking it was the golden retriever in her.
Roo does this too, always brings his zogoflex bone. Tigger does not usually bring anything except his wagging tail and open mouth.
Always! I teach piano at home, so 16 kids come in and out every week. And they all know that Toby will say Hi, and then run to get something to show them.
Our multi-gen does this. He runs around in circles carrying a bone in his mouth. If you take it from him he runs around frantically until he finds another one!! Our F1 doesn't do it at all though.
Yes - and he goes a step further. Rouser keeps one toy in the dining room at all times. The dining room has perfect access to quickly grabbing the toy whether you are entering from the garage door or the front door.

It's so adorable to see his look of panic when my husband comes home on the day when the cleaning lady has been at the house. He runs down the stairs when he hears his car, has a moment of panic when he realizes his toy has been moved, runs to the back of the house where his toy box is located, quickly grabs a toy and then races back to the garage door.

What thoughtfulness!
Natasha, that is possibly the most adorable thing I've ever heard!
