Good ol' toiletpaper (kinda gross)

Woke up this morning to rustling and cabinets being opened/closed.  Touched my DH and he was still in bed.  A moment later, tags were clicking on the wastebasket in the bathroom.  I knew that must be the dogs and I got up to investigate.  Well, the bathroom floor was covered with toilet paper (the complete roll) and it was running down the hallway.  All the paper was also out of the wastebasket.  I put the dogs outside to go potty and then discovered the diarreah on the carpet near the front door.  It appears that Harpo was trying to get the toilet paper to clean it up but had no idea how that was done.  He has been house trained for a couple of months now and I think he was devastated to have made a mess in the house.  The funny thing is that he wanted to clean it up himself.  Silly dog!

Oh Lynda..that is hysterical.  What a sweet dog to try to clean it up before you got up this morning.  Poor baby...hope he is feeling better!

They do worry about leaving a mess after they have learned where to go don't they! Should have left the poop bags out too!!

I mean if the charmin is good enough for the bears on the tv commercial why not the dogs in our houses!

So nice of Harpo to try and clean up.  He was probably afraid that you would be upset with him for making a mess.   We hope he feels better soon and that the clean up isn't too bad for you.

I am sending Oliver to you for training...If you can train Harpo to clean up after himself, maybe u can teach Oliver to pick up his poop outside, I will send poop bags with him, lol...Seriously I hope Harpo is ok, and wow he is one smart dog, doodles are the best, and if your Harpo can clean up his own messes, he should win the contest here for sure!!!!..Lol

Cheryl - can I send Rooney with Oliver for the training.  The only thing Rooney likes to do with toilet paper is to steal it out of my hands while I'm trying to use it.  LOL.  There is NO privacy at my house!  Then he tries to eat it and will only "drop it" for a treat.  Good boy Harpo - how funny!!!
