Shadow's baths usually take up to twenty minutes.  First, we wash him with water and then comes the shampoo.  You have to scrub and scrub until he's all frothy and then you rinse him out.  His ears go all brown and crinkly.  Then we dry him in the bath and then use the hairdryer when he's out which he's still getting used to.

It takes me about a half hour in the tub. Wash, rinse, condition, rinse. I don't use a blowdryer - Picco would freak and would probably matt up. He is usually mostly dry by evening then a little brushing, then finish brushing the next day. He does enjoy his brushing but when he's had enough he just jumps up and darts away.

The very short answer is DEPENDS.....depends on the size dog, depends on the type of hair, depends on how thick the hair is, depends on how long the hair is, depends if you are bent over a bathtub or using an upright dog bath, or in the back yard with a hose, depends if your dog is cooperative or you have to chase him to get the job done....
My two are total opposites when it comes to hair types so one takes at least 30 min. but 10 of that is lathering up and letting it set because it is medicated and the other is done in about 10 min because he is cut shorter with thin hair. I'd say 20 min is about average then. Oh both mine are 60# doodles.

We have a walk-in shower with a hand-held spray. I don a tank top and shorts and bring each in separately. It's probably about 20 minutes per dog. Izzy has finer hair and Lucca has a real thick coat so he takes longer. Izzy hates getting in the shower but when she's done she cries to come back in when I have Lucca in there....lol spread beach towels on the bedroom floor and they roll in them to dry. Then they get blow dried. They LOVE it!!!! BTW... there is also a bribery treat sitting on the bathroom counter:)

Carla, I do the same thing. I strip half naked and then when I'm ready my partner brings them to me one by one. He takes them out and towel dries them until I'm ready. Then I dry one while the other is wrapped in a towel in his crate. The whole thing from start to finish is probably about two hours minimum but that's wash and dry and brush out. If I'm clipping and cutting and doing ears, teeth and claws then you can add another hour each at least.

We installed a hand held shower nozzle in our guest bathroom (tub)....Enzo readily jumps into the tub and it takes me about 20 minutes from start to finish.  No blow drying here....it's usually nice enough for her to dry in the sun.

The actually bath for ours is about 20 min. We blow dry and trim/clip afterward.

Not hard at all since my husband built a new laundry room and garage.  I said I wanted a dog wash area so he made one with double sinks, a water heater, and spray nozzle.  Harpo jumps up onto the table and steps down into the sinks, but Groucho Too has to be lifted (up and down).  Since he is such a big guy, we also have a ramp that I can get him to walk by offering a treat.  In fact, I need to be out there washing Harpo now and brushing his teeth.  They are really bad and he just got over a yeast infection in his ear, so it is a good time to start anew.  I used to wash the dogs in the house also, but that is a thing of the past now (and thankfully).

I am so jealous of your set up! :) Lucky gal!

That's the first project on my list when we buy our house - dog wash!!!

Max takes me about an hour or more but I think that's due more to my inexperience than anything. When I took him to the doggy bath setup at petvalu it was about 2 hours but that was also brushing and blow drying.

I wash Gibbs in the walk-in shower. We also have a hand held and probably takes about 15 minutes to shampoo and rinse then another 20 minutes for a brush out and blow dry. Gibbs looks like the Pink Panther big and fuzzy.

Salvador is a big pup (80#'s).  It usually takes me about 20 minutes to wash him and FOREVER to blowdry him.  His coat is a couple of inches long and has a sort of under coat thing going on (really like a 50/50 coat...a little from each breed).  If it's the summer, I do just throw him out on the deck to let him dry off.  However, October thru April it's too cold to do that.  So, I have to blow dry him.  It probably takes me about an hour to do that...
