I am in an area where hurricane sandy hit bad.. On my Facebook I am friends with the local shelter The town of Hempstead they just posted a post stating that a male Labradoodle mix that is very friendly is up for adoption due to the fact that his family lost their home in hurricane Sandy. I am waiting for more information on him. If you or someone you know may be interested message me or comment me here with ur number and I can text u a pic that I took of the Facebook page. Sorry if I'm not allowed to post this.. But due to the situation I had to.. I know this shelter is over populated with dogs due to the hurricane :(

I am sure there will be someone else who can help sooner, but I will be on Long Island in two weeks if this dog still needs help. I can bring him to upstate NY as a foster and will surely find him a good home thru the DRC.

I am in Rockland County and will foster him. We had originally been set to foster another doodle whose family had lost their home in Queens and couldn't take their dog with them, but extended family stepped in (always better than strangers!) so we have room. Please let me know what we need to do!

Just checking in and thrilled to see Jacquie and other responses. Austin Azzaretto, has a great history with DRC and a wonderful wonderful foster home.  Often wanted him to foster me  :)
