Inappropriate Forum posts

Occasionally someone who is new to DK makes inappropriate posts on the Forum (or other places on DK).  Sometimes they are innocent mistakes and these are easily dealt with.  But there are times when the posts are meant to disrupt or abuse this Forum.  I think the best course of action is to ignore them and report them to Adina.

She then will take care of removing the offensive material.

 

This is a friendly place let's keep it that way and not lower ourselves to the "internet trolls" level by getting in a discussion with them - that is what they want.

I agree and I think we did an exemplary job of ignoring the troll and getting him booted out. But I agree ignoring these folks is enough to drive them nuts.

Yep...It was hard for me not to go off when he mentioned my baby Bexter.  But, I figured he wanted to start something, and I wasn't about to give him that satisfaction.  I figured if this is what he does for fun, he really should have my pity more than anything else.

It wouldn't work on the internet but I found a solution to obscene phone calls many years ago.  Someone woke me in the middle of the night with one and I wasn't quite sure of what I was hearing.  I asked him to repeat what he had said.   He did!  After I took a moment to recover , I told him I was hard of hearing and he would have to speak up.  I repeated this a couple of times until he was almost yelling and he finally hung up on me. :-)

I apparently missed what this post was originally about.......I'm kind of sorry I missed it....I love a good online fight!  lol but definitely good advice!!

Lindsay, you didn't miss anything. There was no fight, no interaction at all. Just a mentally & emotionally disturbed  person who joined DK and started posting four letter words and filthy comments all over the site, in people's blogs and discussions. Not fun and not funny.
