Let's talk tails

Lucy and Ethel have very different tails and it made me wonder what everyone else's doodle's tails look like.  Lucy's tail curls up nicely and is very full.  Ethel's is like a hairy stick.  What gives?

Murphy is so beautiful, but what do you do with his coat in the summer?  I know you have hot summers in New Orleans and this is a lot of hair.

My Paddy's curls up over his back.  The bottom 3" is curly, like a poodle's.  Everything after that is golden retriever.  So, curled up, it's more like Rua's (picture), only moreso because the rest of him is so skinny, like a poodle.

Goldendoodle Jake and Australian Labradoodle Noah are best buddies and show off their tails! Jake's tail is like a duster and Noah's tail curls!

Jake looks a lot like my Gracie Doodle.  She is an F1 Standard Goldendoodle Apricot.  Even before I read that he was a GD, I could tell by his looks!  Love the two different tails!  Noah's is so perky!

Noah is  "perky" -that's funny. Jake is an F1 standard doodle too -more buff color. It is funny how their colors change from when they were pups. I love your website!! Gracie is a sweetie....I have to go back and look at more of her pictures!

I have had one of each kind.  Hondo had the strong stick tail and was known for sweeping the coffee table of wine glasses.  When he came in the room, everyone would pick up their wine glasses.  Groucho has the beautiful plume (or at least until half of it was shaved off because of his hot spots).  Harpo has the curly tail.  Fun, isn't it?

I have wondered about this too.  There is such a variety of tails even within the same breeds.  I'm hoping Bo will have a plume on his tail but so far, not so much!

It bugs me when people say that they want to or already have cut their doodle tails off! Any dog really, but doodles no way!
