Lifting leg....to poo?

[BG and Gavin]

For the first year of Gavin's life he squatted to pee and never would pee off property.  During year two he began to lift his leg and gradually began to pee off property in familiar neighbourhoods, but never poo outside the yard.  Now as he approaches his thrid birthday, he pees at will off property and has now begun to occasionally poo on walks too.  Now for the most unusual part...during the walk Gavin lifts his leg a full 90 degrees and without as much as a squat, poos!  It is the quirkiest thing I have ever seen him do.  Does anyone else have a doodle that does this or is Gavin "special" ???

Duncan doesn't do this but i've seen a yorkie as well as a belgian shepherd do it...

Yup, Gavin is special. Just like Jane wrote, I would love to see a picture of the action. Too funny. We still love you, Gavin! :-)

Besides the fact that Gavin is "special", it sounds pretty quirky to me too. What must he be thinking?????? Getting ready to pee and poop comes out??

Sounds unique to me, but I would not be surprised if Peri started doing this. Taquito (male as you know) squats to pee. Peri follows behind him like Thumper the Rabbitt - she almost ALWAYS lifts her leg to pee.  Weird doodles...or "special" as you call it :)

I've never heard of that "technique!"  I think it's funny that Gavin never poops outside of your yard, while Wally does the complete opposite!  He's six years old, and has never ever pooped on our property.  Go figure.
