That is a great point Shelly, I forgot about the fact that is virtually will disappear, adding that to my grocery list today.
All of these are great suggestions. Here is mine:
Get a Grandma to come and take care of her for the next month - that's what I did, LOL
Seriously though, the socialization is so important, you don't have to let her "walk" in the pet store you can just "carry" her. And for sure the puppy kindergarten. It's actually tough to find one that goes on anywhere other than PetSmart because the Vets advise against it. We found a personal trainer who held the class, she was much more aware then the young kids at our PetSmart and she made sure the pups area was sanitized and the pups were all UTD at their age for shots. Daisy was 3 months.
We were determined to socialize...our first poodle mix, Zach had been a rescue from a shelter at 5 months, he had NO socialization and found out the hard way, he actually bit a cousin at a family gathering, in the face when he was only 9 months, we were devastated, had no idea he was capable. Of course we loved him to death and just adjusted our lives around the issue.
DH use to call him a lawsuit on a leash. We had to warn everyone who wanted to pet him to stay away (also probably not good), he was so cute and lovable looking people could not accept that he may bite. It was very difficult. We still didn't try training, stupid and young and no DoodleKisses! I mean we tried uneducated training, no Zach no, we were sad excuses for dog trainers.
He lived to be 15 years old and the later years from 10 to 15 he mellowed. We just adored him always. He ended up being loving with everyone, probably from all the love. It took us 5 years to finally get Daisy and do everything we deemed possible to make her a happy well adjusted dog.
I remember having forgotten how much you have to watch them EVERY second ! I still can't have her in another room because she is like a little kid that you just know is getting into trouble if you don't hear them and can't see them. At 7 months it's better as I know she is not having any accidents so as long as I know where she is she is okay, but I have to easily visable to keep checking on her or she will eat something she's not supposed to.
