Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I have a happy annoucement. We are about to be the new parents of a male baby goldendoodle. This all happened within the last 5 hours and we just got the phone call. This is a rescue situation, very sad and our new little guy is only 7 weeks old, too young to be away from his mommy. I need all the advice I can get. I'll leave very early Monday for the drive to Atlanta to adopt Crosby, Stills or Nash. I must not put Rooney in harms way till I find out the medical condition of our new puppy. Rooney will go to our dog sitters till I get our new little guy and get him to our vet. Please please please say a prayer that our new little guy is healthy. I'll be in Atlanta (thank goodness my daughter lives there) Monday and Tuesday evening. Wednesday and Thursday I have to stop in Ocala and I am looking for a good vet there to start the check up. I had already planned to be there for a nephews graduation and I can't get out of that now. Does anyone know of a good vet in the Ocala area? This has happended so fast, yes we were on the wait list for a puppy from our breeder but my heart goes out to these puppies - they need us more than we need them. Our paws are crossed. I'm scared, excited and nervous.

I wish I knew how to put some CS& N . wav files into a continuous loop to be played in this discussion.
My dogs all have songs to be played and sung.
When I adopted Starlit, Jane, Guinness, and Murphy added Hey Soul Sister, aka Hey Spud's Sister.
In honor of your new baby I've added, Try Top Flyer by Stephen Stills, to the front page. My husband's favorite song when he was piloting Hot Air Balloons (no he was not smuggling, lol ) Great Steal Guitar.
Gotta love this shelter. They sure like to Rock those puppies with names.
I don't have the GOOD version of Tree Top Flyer, so I've left it out. I've added 49 Bye Byes, by CS&N
Aweee how exciting! The three of them are very very cute. Its hard to tell from the pictures on petfinder, but the one you posted of stills makes me think that they may have the doodly coat you desire! They are all very fluffy and you can see in still coat it is starting to get some waves. I'll post a pic of B to give you some idea of what the waves may end up like, maybe you can compare when you see them. (she is an F1b- but had very little poodle in her, she was the most retrievery of the group with a more blocky head and fluffier coat)
(This is her at 8 weeks, as you can see she had very little waves and was very fluffy. Now she has turned into those teddy bear waves with some small curls-absolutuely perfect!! no shedding as well- but I think we lucked out on that)
Sorry for the picture sizes- this text box is not allowing me to change sizes or print beneath the pictures like it usually does.
I will have to post more recent pictures as B is now 8 mo. and 48Ibs! You will then be able to see her coat better! Goodluck, I hope you get the pup you want! As a side note- we really wanted a pup from the litter and ended up getting a different girl- at first we were a little sad- but it turns out it was the best thing that happened to us, we saw the pup at a puppy class a couple weeks later and her temperment was completely differnt then our girls. So I think since this whole expereience has been such a whirlwind and like fate for you guys, that you will get the one that is right for you! Have fun!
I saw these guys on PF earlier today and now I see your post! Congratulations Jane, you are doing a wonderful thing by adopting this guy.
You just want an excuse to buy more collars and leashes!!!
Enjoy your new puppy. Love the pictures!
