Ok so Brisby and Jake play a lot together. I think I posted a video before. It's not super aggressive play nor is it loud. They eat near each other, play with toys together and even chew their antlers right next OT each other, they don't nap near each other or"snuggle together". Should I worry about this? My beagles slept and napped on the same pillow throughout their life. It seems both doodles are still more people oriented than other dog oriented (they nap near a persons feet or on a sofa) but not snuggled together. I have seen many multi dood families on here who's dogs do lay on or close to each other. Should I worry about this or just chalk it up to doggie personalities?
I know that if one of them goes back to a bedroom to lay on or near a bed to be with one of the humans in the family they won't stay more than 20 min if the other one isn't there. But if we are all in the family room, they are happiest, each snuggled with a different human or laying somewhere on the floor within eyeshot of each other but not together. And FYI neither boy is yet a year old not that this matters.

My two don't snuggle together either. They do play together and I can tell that they both enjoy it.

It took awhile for Hudson and Lily to lay down really close to one another. Now they do all of the time. I don't know if I would call it really snuggling, but they do enjoy being together. They also still lay apart at times. I think that dogs are just like people, while we enjoy the company of others, some of us are more snuggly, and some of us enjoy our space. :)

My two don't snuggle. I had always dreamed of having two dogs that would snuggle up together, but my two certainly have heir own personal space when it comes to sleeping!

My two don't snuggle either. They do lay near each other but not right next to each other. At night, Daphne sleeps on my bed, Lucy stays in hers on the floor next to the bed or on the bathroom tile floor. I don't think you need to worry as long as they get along.

Ok that's why I was asking. I wondered if no snuggling meant issues. They seem like feisty brothers. Loyal to each other but hugs...ewwww.

I don't think so. Daphne, my youngest really tries hard to play with her mama, Lucy but Lucy is not much into it. Occasionally she does but mostly, Lucy just wants love from humans.

Spud is nice and cuddly. More so now that he is older but he hates to have another dog sleep on him: touching paws, legs on top of each other, etc.

Many times he sleeps with me but a lot of times, he just wants to sleep sound on his bed. He needs space and if it gets real crowded, he finds a place for peace.  If I touch him in his sound sleep, he goes somewhere to finish his deep rest.

I feel the same way when I'm real tired.  I just want space and sleep. I think it's okay.

The cats really freak him out.  LOL  He is warm and they sneak up on him to curl around his belly. It's okay sometimes, but if he is still semi awake, he jumps up and moves.

I would be worried only if they didn't want to cuddle with their people, or be near them. And not even worried really. My !urphy is very "aloof". He will "let"you touch him, but his first few years he didn't really seek physical contact and never eye contact. He has gotten much better at age 5. But mostly only with DH. I think he feels I am going to attack him with any. One of my arsenal of brushes, combs, toothbrushes, nail clippers, ear solutions, tweezers to pluck ear hair etc.....
When I talked to my breeder for our second doodle, I told her that was one of my requests.....a cuddly doodle. And I got one in Bella. She's a real in your face "see me, touch me, pet me! " kinda girl.
They have always gotten along well, but they will not really sleep close together. Usually one on the bed, one on the tile floor. During the daytime, Murphy's two spots are under the kitchen table or the end of the chaise lounge. Bella goes to the opposite end of the couch and never goes under the table.
In the past 4-6- months they just started sleeping at the foot of our bed together, but it's not all night and I'm sure it's not so they can be together as much as it is their wanting to be with us. I don't see anything wrong with them being separate and needing their own sleep space from each other. They are together 24/7, so maybe it's just a mini break from each other.

While Lucy and Ethel Mae love each other, and play well together.  They don't snuggle either.  I wish they did.  I just love when people post pictures of one dog laying it's head on the other.

My doodles don't snuggle together. They do mock fighting outside and will double team critters. Basically they mostly lie near each other by happenstance for instance when they are on the bed with me.

Mine do snuggle but there is a 14 month age difference and Polly is still a pup.  On the other hand once they get too warm they separate by a few feet or according to which one of us they each choose.  Even Meg will leave my lap if she gets too warm.
