Heather Woodland recently joined Doodle Kisses, but she and her beautiful doodle Cujo have been well known and loved for some time now on other doodle forums. Tonight Cujo was hit by a car and did not survive the accident. Please leave a note of condolence for her and her family. Leave your thoughts here and not on her profile page as that may fill her email up and she is not ready to talk to everyone at this time. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

We would like to send a gift to the Woodland family in this time of grief. If you would like to contribute any amount within the next two days, we will use that to purchase a token of our care for them. `````UPDATE--we have raised a sufficient amount to do something nice for the Woodlands. Thank you to all who have contributed.

Below is her slide show and I'm including it as a tribute to her much loved doodle, Cujo.
He was gorgeous, patient, awesome with her kids and an important part of the family. Heather's youngest daughter and Cujo were best of friends.
Our hearts go out to you Heather and we send our warm thoughts and hugs to you and your family.

Dear Heather and family, I am so sorry for your lost. I know your heart is aching, I feel your pain. Loving your dog is like loving your child. He was a Beautiful doodle. At least you have many many loving and funny memories of Cujo. One day you will be able to think of him without the pain. It just takes time.
I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful companion and family member. My heart goes out to you, and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Dogs are wonderful gifts from God, and I believe all dogs go to heaven. His spirit will live on within you and your family.
Heather and family,
We just joined this site last night. We have a new puppy that looks a lot like your gorgeous dog Cujo. We lost our dog Buddy on October 15th, 2008. He passed away from a serious infection in his pancreas that caused kidney failure. He was fine one day and then gone the next. It was devastating and I didn't think I could ever get over it. The loss of your dog brings tears to my eyes;so beautiful. When our dog Buddy died-a fellow dog lover sent me this quote; "the pain of losing him will never, ever be greater than the joy of knowing him". Hope this helps and please know that we feel your loss.
Sincerely,
The Chisholm family( Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I read this and watched Heather's slide show and bawled my eyes out. Her Cujo looks so much like our Mater, and we can't imagine life without him. The beautiful photos she has are so full of love. My heart goes out to Heather and her family. Cujo was clearly a loved doodle, and will be dearly missed.
