Hi Linda! So glad you made it back and had a good time on your trip with your pups! Moneypenny is so cute...her markings are beautiful.I am glad she is doing well with Lucy!
Welcome home and back to DK! Your trip sounds wonderful! Moneypenny is adorable-don't they grow up so fast?
Hello All. Well we made it back from our trip with our 2 Doodles. We went from Kentucky to Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and home which is Kentucky. In all of this we traded our Class A RV, changed all over and reset up housekeeping in the new rig. The Girls did well in all of this confusion. Moneypenny kept up being a clown as a 9week old puppy can be. (Her age when we started out.) She will be 3 months on the 29th. We took her to the vet when we got back for her 3rd set of shots. When we left she weighed 6# 12 ozs she now weighs 11# 6 ozs. She has no worms. Temp normal. I know there was some concern traveling with such a young one and not having all her vaccines, but she did well. She was not crazy about the tent she had to stay in. Lucy was just her laid back self, except She still does not tolerate the crate and being left alone.
Midge I love your comment about wishing you had your puppy book before you had kids!!! LOL! Gracie sounds fantastic and I agree with you about how nice it is to have the time to spend training and socializing them and what a difference it can make for them.
Gracie sounds like a dream doodle - a very good representative of our wonderful group.
Hi, My husband, Joe and I have fallen in love all over again with our little Gracie Doodle. She is now almost 6 months old and we are so smitten. She just finished her puppy class with flying colors and totally amazes us every y. She is a mini-doodle and will probably max out at about 25 lbs. Our friends thought we were nuts but are now so jealous of our life with her. We just left for a week vacation in Mexico that we had planned ahead of her arrival and we were so missing her every day. We have an amazing dog sitter who
loves her as we do. We are so blessed. She is smart, loving and so far hasnt
destroyed any shoes, clothing or furniture. She does have a penchant for the cat food and old kleenex. We prepared for her arrival by reading three books on the advice of our breeder nd it has really paid off. She doesn't bite any longer oly doodle kisses for her. I hired a dog trainer to come in when she was 12 weeks old to jump start and head off any behaviours that were not good.
She rings a bell for potty, she loves to be groomed and she is just about perfect. I cringe when I read about the puppy madness that goes on with other pups. I can only say it is much easier when there are no children and you can give puppy your undivided attention. My adult children love her when they visit and I tell them I wished I read the puppy book before I had kids!!!! LOL
Thought I would give you all an update on our trip in Florida. Moneypenny and Lucy are doing great. Moneypenny is doing well in her crate and her tent with the puppy pads. We have a big screen tent that she is able to be outside, but safe. She is growing by leaps and bounds. will post pictures when we get home. Forgot my cable for my camera.
Oh a handsome dood like you would be welcome in Florida!
