Stella, I understand.  Every time I try to get a video of Penny, she does something crazy or freezes up.  She is reactive so I'm careful not to make agility stressful for her.  If we never compete, it's OK.  We have a great time in class.  We are going to attend a run through night in a  couple of weeks so we'll see how that goes.

Hi Deborah, I don't have many good videos of him - he only seems to Q when no one is filming!  I'll have to take a look one day and see if I can find a good one!  My second doodle does not like other dogs very much and has an anxiety disorder.  He loves loves loves his agility lessons!  I take him with me to trials so that he can hang out and get used to the atmosphere.  You can also look for fun matches to go to where it is just for fun and you are usually allowed to use treats and toys in the ring.  This will help her to get used to going to new places.

Congratulations, Hartley!  You are amazing.  Do you have a video of Hartley?  I would love to see him run.  Penelope and I are still training but haven't competed yet.  She gets stressed around new dogs and environments so I'm not sure she would enjoy a trial - maybe when she is a bit older.

Hartley got his Advanced Agility Dog of Canada title on Sunday!! We just need one more Q in Snooker to get his Advanced Games title too - just three trials left this outdoor season to try and get it. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Stella. Lucky me, I don't have to give my dogs those vaccines. I'm glad those vaccines don't seem to affect their behavior. ;)

The only ones they get annually are bordatella and leptospirosis. Rabies every 3 years and Distemper, Parvo (and whatever else is in that one!) every five years. They are both normally their same crazy selves after their shots!!

I wouldn't. They may not have as much energy. Anyway, I thought annual shots were almost a thing of the past? The AVA now says every 3 years. I only do shots once and then titer after that.

I am entered with both dogs at an indoor trial this weekend, and just realized I have both dogs booked in tomorrow afternoon for their annual physical and shots. Can I take them to a trial the day after they have had their shots??

Trine and I  managed to get another title this weekend. Now we are in the 'Excellent' level. We have to hurry now because my dog is 9 1/2 and not getting any younger.
