Thanks for that info! I figured it was something like that I just was hoping for a quick response telling me that but I totally understand about being crazy busy. I will give it a little more time since we are looking to adopt around summertime. Thanks again everyone!

I got an email back from Julie the first night I emailed, but I think it was because they had one puppy left in the litter and they were going to homes the next weekend. It was hard getting in touch with her the next few days, especially because we were making this big, very quick decision about getting another dog just a short while after our wheaten terrier, Mac, had died. I did speak with her on the phone and I will search my old emails to see if I can find her number--I think she gave it to me in an email.

Comment by Karina, Wass and Floyd on February 16, 2010 at 10:41am: I don't want to complain but it's been three and a half weeks since my first e-mail to Julie and Shelly and I haven't gotten anything back! We are feeling very disheartened by the no communication. I know some of you said that it took a little while for them to get back to you, but did it take this long? I have sent an e-mail at the beginning of each week just in case and haven't heard anything. I don't want to seem like a pest or over excited. I just want to establish real communication with them.

Comment by Karen and Tigger on February 8, 2010 at 8:22pm: The same thing happened to me, too. It took them about 3 days to respond to my original email asking about puppies. I actually sent Julie an email a few days ago and I still haven't heard back from her. Good thing it wasn't a very important question! I'm sure they will contact you - they're probably just busy getting ready for all 18 puppies they currently have to go to homes in the next couple of weeks. I know how frustrating it is to wait when you're so excited. Hang in there!
