Hello, Is there anyone on DK that has gotten their Labradoodle from Blossom Ranch Labradoodle's? I have a miniature Labradoodle from them & would like to find some others in my area (Merced, Ca.).

Hi!  I have two ALD from Puppy Heaven in Alberta.  Any other dogs out there from that breeder?  I'd love to find some siblings :)

Karen - you will come up with what works for you in training your puppy.  He will adjust to two homes pretty quickly.  Find out where is the best potty spot at the condo and be real consistent about taking him there each time you go outside.  My first doodle was definitely trained with the "Go pee-pee" command and when he heard that he emptied his bladder even if he had only one little squirt.  He associated it with going for a ride in the car.  I always took him out to go pee-pee before he got in the car.  I had a little sports car and he loved to ride shotgun in the car.  All that has changed with our recent dogs and they ride in the back of the car.

Hi All,
We are "expecting" our first Australian Labradoodle! In fact we're going to pick out our pup this Saturday. We're very excited, albeit a bit nervous at the same time. He/she won't be coming home for another few weeks, so we're trying to get everything ready for the big day.
Has anybody heard of the Potty Training Puppy Apartment? Here's a link to their site: modernpuppies.com
We've purchased a couple of double door crates with dividers and thought we might try this approach ourselves. We live in rural Oregon, but also have a 5th floor condo in Portland and are trying to figure out how to manage the potty training aspect when we're there. We both work, but come home for lunch everday. When in Portland, we're worried about exposing a new puppy with an immature immune system to outside potty breaks in the city.
Would love to hear from some experienced doodlers on this subject.

Kim and Cheryl - I think this is a very common problem with ALDs.  Grooming is something to keep on top of with these dogs.  Our Harpo (also 4 years old) has a wool coat and we prefer him a little longer.  We have always done our own grooming and keep his belly, inside of the ear flaps, armpits and feet shaved.  We use 1 mm clippers between his toes and 6 mm for the other shaved areas.  Scissors cut the rest of him and it just becomes a little grooming chore.  With the two of us, no problem.  Yesterday we took the guys for a long walk and bike ride and had to bathe them when we got home.  I wash the dogs and Charlie blow dries them and it doesn't take that long at all.  Here is a photo of Zeppo on the bike tow leash and Harpo in our yard.
