Hi Sally, I am over the moon with this news. I am also going to change food after she settles in. Orijen is what Cassie ate and I will try that again. You see I keep saying girl. Did Mark and Karen pick the boy for you for any specific reason. Had you expressed your interest in a girl. I have never had a boy dog, ever! Where did you get Emmi? I love that name. Is she the same size as Echo. Every time I see Boomer I think of you. I love that dog. Do you feed raw because of any problems or was it just something you wanted to do. Sorry for so many questions. I so much want to do everything I can do for this pup. I will post pics as soon as they are sent to me. August 22nd seems forever, but I have been waiting for so long now that hopefully it will go fast.
Hi Sue! I see that Grace is pregnant! How exciting! That is half the battle! Time will fly now! Echo was a very easy puppy, honestly. I did make sure that I had many chew toys for him and did do some puppy proofing especially with any electrical cords like my computer. He was very easy to crate train which I believe in strongly when they are little.I know mark and karen feed Life's Abundance which I did keep him on for awhile so he didn't have any quick tummy changes. After a few months and I had done my own research I did change his food and he is now on Orijen/ Acana (I rotate through all the grain free proteins) for his morning meal and I feed him raw for his evening meal. He is doing really well. i actually have a second ALD now, Emmi. She is on the same diet and also doing very well! Mark and Karen are wonderful raising these pups and I can guarantee that you will be very happy. It's funny as I also had my heart set on a girl and I ended up with a male who is such a Mommas boy! I never regretted my decision! Can't wait to see pics!!!

Haha, Ricki, I agree that CobbaDog does sound rather "corny" but apparently it means something else in Australia - friend or something.
Agreed. They definitely do have a certain look to them.
What is really odd is that you can tell a multigenerational ALD at first look so if they have xyz in them, they must all have xyz in them.
Cherly, I look forward to watching your video of Oscar walking Finnegan.
I wouldn't mind a name change for them but I don't find "CobbaDog" to be a particularly attractive name! It makes me think of corn on the cobba. LOL!
My ALD has RM and TP linage too, but it doesn't matter too much to me because I am not going to breed him. The stories coming out of there are interesting, however, and the DNA information also. I believe that the dogs of this linage do not have any lab in them and it is just a fluke that they are "labradoodles". That is why I liked the CobbaDog name better for describing these pooches. Breeding can be quite a problem, can't it?
